Just came accross this contraption while looking for a deal on Forza Horizon.
Does this wheel work well with casual racing games like FH or Dirt?
Do you get tired having to hold the wheel in "midair"?
I never picked up the wheel, but most impressions I read were positive. But yeah, the downside is that you are holding a wheel up. It's why I never picked it up.
I would imagine it is fine for Forizon and other less then sim racers, but not so great for Forza.
Jack, Terry's remembering correctly. From a very, very old Forza 4 thread come these impressions of mine:
I wrote:The manager of my local Gamestation talked me into getting the limited edition and the Wireless Wheel this morning. I only wanted the standard game. His pitch amounted to nothing more than "Go on. Go on, buy them", which leads me to assume that I'm just hopelessly weak.
I've already taken the wheel back. It's my own fault for listening to him when he assured me I wouldn't lose any functionality - upon getting home I discovered that for some reason, it does not have LB and RB buttons. I need those buttons when I'm racing and I can't use Autovista mode without them. I tried F1 2011 with the wheel and the steering control was very good, while the longer travel on the triggers compared to those of a gamepad was helpful, but I still didn't have enough buttons to use all of the controls. Clearly, this is something an ounce of decent research would have told me, but no matter.

Thanks for the info. I'm not to concerned with the LB/RB shoulder buttons, but I am more concerned with the functionality of the wheel. I'll just stick with the gamepad...works fine for me.
I have the official Microsoft wireless racing wheel sitting in my closet if you're interested. It's in mint condition & I'll give it to you for a fair price.
