All I can say is wow....this is shaping up to be a really good game. Looking forward to playing this a lot more this weekend. It's got great gameplay, and the graphics are gorgeous. Looking forward the Beta in July and the release in September. I think it releases the same day as NHL15.....night be taking a vacation that week!

Definitely has a Halo feel to it and after playing it for a few hours last night, I'd say it's 75% Halo and 25% Borderlands. There is a lot to do in the Alpha....game looks very polished already. This just appears to be a game that's going to deliver and live up the hype and I can see a lot of time spent with this one. You can probably add some Mass Effect in their as well.

I went from not really caring much about this game at all - I was considering giving it a pass - to just deciding whether or not I want to pre-order on the XBONE or the PS4! It's a lot of fun and actually think I may end up playing this as my shooter of choice this fall rather than Battlefield: Hardline.

tjung said it feels a lot like Halo, I think it's a sweet spot between Halo and COD - you can run/sprint (!), movement is a lot quicker and less floaty than in Halo but not as twitchy as COD, there's ADS (aim-down sights) which is new for a Bungie game and it runs super smooth. Like tjung said, it's incredibly polished (menus, interface, etc) and looks absolutely gorgeous. It's easy to switch between PvP and regular quests and the story/universe seems quite interesting.

Definitely getting this one.

I think what I was doing was signing to my Europe account which didn't take the code which was only for the Americas. So I change my account and it worked. Therefore I still have another code if anyone is interested.

I got my first look at Destiny last night with the beta on XB1. I'd say the graphics are definitely next gen; very sharp, but not jaw dropping.

I was able to join a "Fireteam" with a couple of friends and we played co-op, which had some story/cut scenes in between. The AI/enemies reminded me of Halo 4, but they are leveled like Borderlands. There was not much loot to pick up. I saw maybe 4 chests playing for about an hour. We got up to level 4. We tried one Public Event (which are suppossed to yield a loot drop), but failed. Not sure how many other players joined and we were tasked with defeating a boss type AI before it reached 5 checkpoints. I did not look too much at the skills/weapons upgrades.

One of the guys I played with never cared for the Halo games, but after last night he is buying Destiny.

I'm looking forward to playing more tonight and the full game in September.

Yeah, I just wish they had more stuff to do in the Beta--but I understand why they limit it so much.

I have one of each class capped at the level 8 cap now and seen and done pretty much everything there is in solo and co-op play. Really looking forward to the full release.

I have yet to find a friend playing online and a few people told me they can't find me in a GT look up on PSN. I don't even have a headset for my PS4, what is everyone using for that? I would sure like to try MP

I sent you a friend request that night when you asked for it, and it's sat there unanswered for a week or so now. Assuming "Danimal1966" was correct, that is.

There was a little chat cable/earbud/mic thing that came with the PS4, so anybody with a PS4 should have something. I use an Astro A40 with mine.

That's odd, I don't see any requests. I recall seeing a few notifications of friends request but when I went into that screen nothin showed up. Let me try and add you.

EDIT: Ok odd, I turned on my PS4 today and updated the syustem software and then 4 friends request showed up.

Co-op is insanely fun. It's so fun, I went down and bought a second PS4 so my son and I could play on screens side-by-side during the beta and when it releases. Since I know Diablo 3 comes out next month, that's another reason. My wife cannot handle playing D3 on the same screen where everybody messes with inventory one at a time.

I'm definitely down for some co-op. I would have to delete one of my toons to make another one, though, as they only let you have 3 at a time.

yep...we've already got two PS4's and looks like we are getting a 3rd PS4...the Destiny bundle....in September. Both my sons want to be able to play it with me as well as their uncle and a couple of my friends.

The bigger question is if you like MMO's, because that's what it feels more like. If you imagine running around a Borderlands map and suddenly fighting alongside a few other people, despite never joining a group or anything, that's more like Destiny's feel.
