For folks using a controller, what steering setting are you using? Sim, or the middle one?

I had mine on Sim (or whatever the hardest one is) and was doing fine, but recently bought a Porsche (sorry, a RUF) and find it incredibly twitchy to drive. I'm wondering if the higher powered cars are manageable with a controller on Sim, or if i need to go back to the middle setting and take the XP hit........

I read somewhere that sim is meant to only be used with wheels.

Played much of the day AFTER watching German GP replay. I am loving this game. So much to do and I am now back to manual shifting. Seconds count.

Since taking 34's advice (there's a first time for everything eh?) I have gotten back into this game now that the steering is a bit more forgiving on Normal with the controller.

I even decided to do some time trialing and beat Zep on the Indy Grand Prix course and DB on Laguna.......

What buttons do you use for manual shifting with the controller? I've never been able to find a comfortable fit with manual shifting using gamepads, but I need to make another effort to try. Playing GAS with proper force-feedback and a linearized steering wheel has made me sour on the ChonusMax adapter method for using my Fanatec GT2 wheel with Forza 5. I'm only slightly better with it than a gamepad, but it still feels like a steering wheel modeling a controller, without force-feedback... which ultimately feels "cheap".

Yeah, I read that and went "well isn't that just begging for a little competition"...some of those Forza Horizon time trial things were fun. I haven't done anything like that in FM5.

Oh s***.

I mean..... sure I welcome the challenge!

I wish I was better at tuning my cars tho. Some of mine are just quick upgraded for whatever league I was in.

Time trials are good for baby daddy's like me lol.

What the hell were you thinking?! You have called down the thunder.

I like Grid Autosport and especially for multiplayer but for single player, nothing beats this. With the crazy drivatars the leader boards, the challenges.... you bozos are always a race away.

Playing it almost every day now.

Is there a way to look at a Friend's only leaderboard? Or have i just not figured it out yet? Or maybe I am looking at a friend board but just don't recognize some names.......

Click sort.

First board is everyone. Next is close to you. Third is friends.
