Colombia is such an explosive and dynamic team. My favorite dude, j. Rodriguez, Cuadrado, Gutierrez, Martinez. They all can score but historically Uruguay has their number. I want to see them do well after that tragic WC back in 94.

OMG, NASL shootout would be 100x better than penalty kicks!

Maybe you guys can try it out again in the MLS. Hire Bettman as your commissioner and have Donald Sterling Owner of the next expansion team.

Nice win for Colombia but that defensive shell last 35 minutes was not good. Lucky not to have given anything up. Uruguay missed suarez there.

They are blaming England for Suarez suspension in Uruguay.

It will be hard to get Bettman away from the NHL. The board of governors love him more than words can say.

I think its the British press more directly....I was laughing reading this stuff today...

"As I write this there is a protest outside the UK embassy because fans are convinced that England is somehow behind the Suarez ban."

Golazo indeed. 5 and still counting. Macca mentioned him the other day. My first time seeing Columbia in this WC. Where did this James Rodriguez spring from?

Leave the SA kids to me. I know it when I see a future star. 8)

The beauty about his goal is that he has such a good presence and feel on the pitch. He didn't necessarily look at the goalie's position, but when he trains that ball with his shoulder his good sense of where the D is at that moment, is what made him make such a lethal and beautiful strike. All that in one second. That's pure skills and a bit of luck.

Love Jaime Rodriguez!

Along Van Persie's header vs Spain and Messi's free kick against Nigeria, goals of the tournament so far.

Surely you don't mean to forget Tim Cahill's wonder volley, do you?

Good pick! Never heard of him before the World Cup. An internet search revealed that he plays for Monaco. Based on today's performances, Columbia look like a very serious threat to Brazil.

Gulab Jamun!!! LMAO!!!

I am in 100% agreement - if Messi scored that Cahill goal we'd still be talking about it. The kind of goal that if you scored in a videogame you'd s*** on the game for it being 'unrealistic'. What a goal.

Speaking of Messi - James, we know he's your boy but that FK against Nigeria wasn't anything special. Now his goal against Iran, now that was a stunner. :)

I could watch HAM-EZ (!) Rodriguez play all day. Too bad he's being wasted in sh1tty Ligue 1, though I'm not sure he cares since he's earning a truckload and paying zero tax.

Bummed that Chile went out.

I still find it amazing that in Brazil, a country of 200 million, there are no better strikers than Fred and Jo.
