RIP Don Zimmer
Just heard he died. Still can't forget when he got in a fight with Pedro Martinez.
Re: RIP Don Zimmer
Managed by Casey Stengal and coached Derek Jeter.
What a life!

Also the last Brooklyn Dodger to still have a job in the game.
His masterful, swashbuckling job with the '89 Cubs is a wonderful memory for me.
He played for or coached 17 different MLB teams and every one of them is embracing him as their own, which is a hell of a testament to the guy.
A couple great pics of one of the game's all-time best faces.

Re: RIP Don Zimmer
My interest in baseball vanished 20 years ago, but I always enjoyed Zim as one of the true characters of the game. His love and devotion to the game was pure, transparent and infectious.
RIP.
