Titanfall Poker Night Tonight? Can this be a thing?

Post by RobVarak »

Not sure if there are enough of us to make this work. I'm getting ready to concede that I'll be on the outside looking in as DSP goes PS4, but I'd love to get a private room going tonight at 10pm Central. Speak up if you can make it.

I might be game. I'm watching the Flyers Rangers game 7 but that will be done by then.

I won't be getting rid of my XB1. I love mine. Personally I think a lot has been overblown about the "gap" between them. My opinion.

Only slightly worse response rate than the 360 despite 1% of the installed base lol

Sorry I just never bit on this game, I realized in Beta I sucked and it would never get better. I'll see you when the Division comes out :)

Excellent time tonight, gents. Not enough for a private room, but so much fun.

It's heartening to see that in our third console generation, Mix is still the master at seizing domination points unseen. :)

Last night was fun even though I was stinking it up most matches. It was nice to sea Mix again online in a game! The voice sounds so different now with XB1's better voice audio.

With private matches, even just six of us would have some awesome battles. Heck, I wonder what a two on two game would be like. Four might be just a bit too thin a crowd, but with the bots running around it might not be too lame. The only problem would be if we had an odd number of guys, but in that case we could just jump into open games.

I wish Titanfall was cross-platform on Live. I have it for 360 and love it, which is a huge surprise because I suck at these twitch games and I never even got into COD, Battlefield, Gears of War, etc. on the 360. At one point weren't there some games where you could play multiplayer between Xbox and PC, or am I just dreaming that?

Defnitely not dreaming, but it was only a few. Shadowrun comes to mind. It was during the Games for Windows branding that MS was trying a few years back.

Titanfall is clearly a game made with the goal right out of the box to really make it fun for players at every skill level. I've said this a few times in the other thread, but it's brilliantly put together in a way that it's always avoiding frustration and giving you something fun and productive to do as a member of the team.

The biggest problem with that is keyboard/mouse people destroy controller people. Tough to make that work.

Same here. Although I might have been late to the game anyway. But I was in a shooter mood and started playing the free copy of Halo 4 I got with my new 360.

It's late, I know, but since last night was sort of a false start, should we try again tonight? I'll look for others starting at 10:30 EDT.

I'm in, but not before 10pm Central. Work issues, unfortunately.

I'd like to try some Last Titan Standing, which I've found to be much more engaging than I thought at first.

I LAN to hop on after the Wizards game, or if it goes horribly bad in the second half I'll be on before it's over. I don't think I can stay up layer than say 11:30 edt because I have relatively early wake up tomorrow, my first in some time! Finally back to White Collar tomorrow as we build the stage for this weirdly short, six episode final season.

I realize it is short notice, but does anyone want to play tonight (Wednesday)? If we get an even number, perhaps we can try some private matches.

I'll aim to be on about 9:30 pm EDT and can try to stay up late (for me) tonight as well.

Who's in?
