Is this their team song? You'd think they could do better especially with the Beatles being from there.

Yes, Boca lost to River in the Superclasico. 8)
10s, I have a serious question. Not trolling.

Don't you have a hard time supporting an Argentine team given the insanely non-competitive way they structure the league? That bizarre cumulative points system exists for the sole purpose of ginning up Superclassicos, tossing all sense of competitive balance right out the window.

I used to enjoy those games for what they were, but with both teams having such patchy stretches over the last few years I've really lost interest.
No doubt the biggest teams in Argentina have been struggling for the past five, six years in fact the Gallinas were relegated not long ago.

I mainly follow the league because of the development of some young kids which because of the economy as you know, don't last long in that league.

But no matter how those teams struggle when it comes to the rivalry of Boca-River, I am all for it because I lived it myself. The taunting, the name calling, the passion, the chants, the whole atmosphere which many foreigners crave to experience when they are in Argentina.

Practically, the entire country comes to a stop just to watch the superclasico.

But to answer your question, the league is not as exciting as it used to be although you see much more parity these days, but again I am always keen about the development of SA kids that get snatched immediately by the Europeans.

Now with the win, River is in a great position to do some damage this year.

It's like asking a Leafs fan, but why do you still follow them after all these years? Different sport, but you get the idea, it's in your blood. A cult.

Hand ball in the box gives Liverpool the lead before halftime.

What's the rule on hand balls? If it' s accidental it's still a penalty?

A fortuitous bounce in the last five minutes gives BA and Chelsea all they needed to advance in the CL.

That close.

Dortmund wins but still falls short on aggregate.

What a game. Sturridge not only can score but save goals. Oh Silva, you were sooo close. Kompany 100% clears that ball. The Reds control their destiny.

Ahem, was that a handball Mr Skrtel? XXXIV, you're usually on top of these things. 8)

Whats a handball?

Surely Suarez didnt dive and Silva was not fouled in the box. 8)

Watching the second half the defending was terrible. Just giving away the box.

That was fun to watch for a bandwagon fan... I can imagine what a ride that must have been for Liverpool fans.

I saw the replay of the Liverpool game and as much as Id like for them to win the title, that cheating S.O.B. Saurez really makes it hard to root for them.

So if Liverpool beats Chelsea next weekend, do they win the title right there and then? If yes, do they award them the trophy after this game or is the ceremony during the last game of the season?

Jose got his tactics exactly right today. The fundamental tension at the heart of the game is the tactical dialectic between attacking and defensive football. If the latter, properly executed, weren't so easily achieved and effective, the former wouldn't be so beautiful and romantic a notion. Jose is a hypocrite, a cheat and a whining son of a b*tch, but I fault him not a lick for the way he set his team up today.

Now doing the same thing at Madrid when he had more firepower than an Iowa-class battleship? That was a crime against world football.

Yeh he sure did Rob. Frustratingly impressive. Demba Ba was brilliant, man of the match for me.
