Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
Just touchdown no long ago as I missed the game (will still watch it later on my PVR) but learned of the final result as the captain made the announcement. My BC boys came through in Price and Jaime Benn. Heard it was a fantastic game.
Go Canada go, time to get Daniel Sedin and Co and go for a repeat in Gold.

Now that is not very nice. I thought we were having fun last night.

Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
Team USA is finding out how hard and pesky those Finns can be. Rask has been outstanding in this tournament.
Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
They came out flat. I dont blame em much. They came for Gold.
They have picked it up after the time out.
Kane was so close hitting pipes on that penalty shot.
24 minutes left.

All screwing around aside. Feel bad for em.
They are on the plane home now in the third period.
Cant blame em. Gold or bust.

It's OK XXXIV, we have the Russians behind us now.

Winter Olympics please go away. Tired of the entire deal. Outside of the hockey the games are a waste of time in my eyes. There, I said it.

Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
Well there isn't much else going on except NBA and the combine this week.

Another solid defensive performance, aggressive in the pursuit of the puck, the goals, it's looking like another Golden performance.
Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
Gold baby!
That was an absolutely dominant performance. Never gave Sweden a moment to organize without pressure. They made that large ice surface look very small.

From our last Dragons' game, around midnight my time, and my alarm waking me up 4 hours after, the Gold makes it all worth it.dougb wrote:Yep a great feeling - only a 7 am start here LOL!10spro wrote:A great feeling, eh? Gotta hit the sack these crazy early mornings are killing me. Go Canada!

Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
Watching Carey Price, you would have never thought that they won Gold. What a grounded dude, nothing bothers him. Cool as cucumber.

I have a new found respect. Its hard sometimes to tell if its him or the guys in front of him. Now I know. Its not him.10spro wrote:Watching Carey Price, you would have never thought that they won Gold. What a grounded dude, nothing bothers him. Cool as cucumber.
Very happy for him.

There will be 15 million Americans today watching the Daytona 500. It will be the most-watched sporting event of the weekend on TV, with ease.wco81 wrote:Well there isn't much else going on except NBA and the combine this week.

Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
I didn't sense that much pure joy from Team Canada after winning the gold, which only reinforces my belief that NOTHING in the mind of a hockey player approaches the Holy Grail of winning the Stanley Cup.10spro wrote:Watching Carey Price, you would have never thought that they won Gold. I saw no sticks flying in the air at the buzzer. No gloves tossed skyward. No players doing snow angels on the ice. You see those images every June from the Cup winners.
Team Canada was happy, maybe a bit relieved since gold is an expectation in Canada. But I didn't see any of the pure giddyness displayed by young men who just won the Stanley Cup.

Re: OT: 2014 Winter Olympics
Combine is on, but you can only take that in small doses.
Sorry didn't mean to denigrate NASCAR fans, but I mean nothing going on in terms of sports.
