The Lego Movie Videogame Impressions
My eight year old keeps asking me for the game. I know eventually we'll watch the movie too as one of her rewards. Just briefly saw a demo by the Microsoft store today and the game looked pretty cool. Did anyone get the game or watched the movie yet? Impressions on the game are welcomed.

Saw the movie, and it was pretty awesome. I assume the game is as good as all of the other Lego games, which are so much better than anyone would think.
Rotten Tomatoes has The Lego Movie at 97%.

We saw the movie with the kids and, honestly, it was way better than I expected. I think the start was mediocre, as it's a little jarringly faux-stop motion, but it gives way to a pretty amusing movie with some funny dialog and wild imagination.

We saw the non-3D version, which is what will almost always try to do. But this is the first time in which I kind of wished we had seen the 3D version. I think some of the chaos might looked awesome jumping out of the screen.

I took my young kid to a matinee today as she had no school and we enjoyed the movie she much begged for since the release date. While I rarely stay awake with kids flicks, I must say that this one got my attention til the end. Highly recommendable if you have youngsters that enjoy Legos.
Warning. A visit to the nearest toys r is is the next thing they'll demand.

Saw the movie with the whole family on Sunday, and we all loved it. Thinking about picking up the game....anyone get it?
Re: The Lego Movie Videogame Impressions
I saw the game for the PS4 at the PS store for $49 while retailers are selling it for $59 for the disc version. I will wait a bit longer when it reaches around the $40 dollars mark and get it for the kids.

Are you new to the Lego games? Like the movie, they are far better than anyone would have expected. I don't know about this version, but they all are fairly good. They are not terribly different, although the developers have improved them with different features over the years.grtwhtsk wrote:Saw the movie with the whole family on Sunday, and we all loved it. I would have no problem expecting this game to be as good as the rest, but if you are new to the Lego games, grab an older one of a franchise you like. You can get a taste of what they are for a fraction of the price.

Saw it today. Lot of parents were crying at the ending. Robocop tomorrow.
Re: The Lego Movie Videogame Impressions
Demo is out on the Xbone.
Re: The Lego Movie Videogame Impressions
haven't played it. Yet, have checked a few reviews.
ideally, Lego needs to develop a Minecraft type title. A game worthy of the title and concept of LEGO.
at the very least, this new Lego game should've been made/designed like Lego City Undercover (ie GTA/open-world). Not another tack-on movie license/theme game.
20 years later, and Lego Island remains the best Lego game to date. Do i have this right PC gamers?
