19 seconds to go and you try a fake punt with the game practically over? One of the many reasons I hate J. Harbaugh. Bring it over next week, where the hatred is at its best from the Hawks den.

I didn't think that fake punt was all that wrong. It was just payback for the trash talking carolina did during the first half. Maybe Harbaugh and Rivera didn't get along in the chicago days.
btw - that PS4 commercial they keep showing, the one with the 2 guys/brothers singing and being in the games. Isn't the first game they're in RYSE and the driving game FORZA? LOL. Sony advertising for XBO.

Could not disagree more. Classless move by a classless asshat. Paybacks are an SOB and I bet Rivera will remember that. And to be blunt, I guess you saw nothing wrong with the BS that Boldin was doing?
The four games this weekend have been dull compared to the E ticket ride last weekend. But not exactly a shock, as three of the four games featured lines of 7 or fatter.
Hopefully the conference championships will be more compelling. Should be.

I definitely could see both Harbaughs as the kind of d-bags who start fights with other parents at youth sports games. Especially Jim. They're both wound a bit tight.

i was saying it in jest. I agree Bolden is a moron. Maybe that is why the Panthers were talking trash in the start of the game to get inside some of the Niners heads. Nobody bought in but I knew the one guy who could buy in would have been Bolden. And he was. Remember how he was in Arizona, a total jerk.
I don't think I could possibly root any harder than for a Seattle vs. Denver Super Bowl. Or at least SF vs. Denver or Seattle vs. NE. Worst case is SF vs. NE. Last year was horrible...Ravens vs. SF...I didn't want anyone to win (wish the lights would have stayed off for good).
I'm more convinced now than ever if it wasn't for Fantasy football, I don't think I'd give two shits about the NFL. 90% of the games are boring as hell.
One good thing about next week's game is it won't be at 10am in the freaking morning.
Those 10am games are killer. How does the NFL expect me to prepare my Brie and Wine at 10 f'n am. We had to resort to that inferior Russian Beluga Caviar instead this morning. The gall of that Roger Goodell!
After watching all of the playoff games the thing that jumped out at me was how differently these games were officiated compared to regular season games.
It's turning into the NBA East c. 1993 out there! All the teams, but particularly the Seahawks, have gotten away with murdering WR's. There would have been 4x as many PI calls in the regular season. I thought the Greco-Roman wrestling defense employed by the Packers DB's last week was just them taking advantage of a lax Hochuli crew, but it's turned out to be par for the course for these playoffs.
It's an interesting approach for a league that's otherwise skewed the rule book in favor of offense for decades now.
Post-season officiating in most sports is different than that in the regular season (a problem in and of itself), but this seems to be a bigger change than I've noticed in many years.

You're not the only one to notice a trend in more laissez-faire officiating in the playoffs, some teams are obviously using it as part of their strategy:
Expect the no-calls to get worse in the playoffs. This season, NFL officials called 12.2 penalties a game, but in last week's wild-card round, they called 7.8. There has been a 41% drop in postseason penalties since the 2008 playoffs, while in the regular season, penalties are up 8.9% in that time.
