My thought is that I'd get $100 from the trade in, i'd return one of my XB1 pre-orders and I have a $25 BB gift card. That's close to $200 right there. Wii U bundles with 2 Mario games are $299 right now. I'm itching to play that new Mario 3D World.
Eeesh. Yeah, much worse than me. At least I'm getting two good systems, not one crappy one with a single good game. Tho Austin will probably like it more than the other two systems so I suppose it makes sense. I figured, I've got an iPad for kiddie games once D is ready. Leave the real gaming to the big boy systems.
LOL. It will be years before A-Man touches a game controller so it's really for me. This whole idea came from me thinking of trading in my 360 but not really knowing what to use the extra $100 for. There aren't any other XB1 games I want besides the 4 I have pre-ordered. Hmmmm...
Good god, then keep the 360. It's worth immeasurably more than the WiiU brick...lol

Seemed like a decent game and looked good. Might be worth a pick-up when it drops to $19.99 in 6 months.
It's a surprisingly good game given the review scores. It's not necessarily 'impressive' or a good system showpiece, but I don't think it should be knocked for that, which I think it has been a little.

My son and I both enjoy it a lot.
Is it 2 player?
and when the demo timed out, I did want to play more. figured that was a good sign.
GameStop’s PlayStation 4 waiting list grows to 2.3 million customers after console sells out in under a week
GameStop Corp., the largest specialty retailer of video games, said its initial allocation of Sony Corp. PlayStation 4 consoles sold out and that 2.3 million customers are waiting for the devices.
Initial sales of the player exceeded its predecessor, the PlayStation 3, by more than 80% in the first few days, executives of the Grapevine, Texas-based chain said today on a conference call with analysts. They also anticipate a large waiting list for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, suggesting a prolonged industry sales slump is ending.
As amazing as NBA2K is/looks, I decided to use my Gamestop satisfaction guarantee (the one you get with the Premium card) and trade it even for Need For Speed: Rivals on PS4.
My reasoning is that I'm really not an NBA fan anymore, and after a few nights of playing with a whole bunch of teams and having a buddy over for a session, I realized that I probably won't invest the amount of time needed for a season/franchise, etc...Just not prepared to jump that deeply into it. Incredible showcase for the system however - and if you're an NBA fan, it's a no-brainer.
Pretty happy with NFS so far. The sense of speed is great and I do like being able to switch between cop and racer. The real seller is the online component, however, I didn't play long enough to run into any other human players on the map. I can imagine these chases, once they do happen, will be nothing short of epic.
Anybody else have it yet for PS4? PSN id is "crucialmike". Up for a session tonight!

I'm with you on the NBA game. Seems great, but I am just not into NBA basketball at all.
I have NFS, though I have yet to play. What time will you be on tonight?

I'm good with anything after 9:30 generally...would be fun to get a bunch of guys here on the same map.
Cancelled my Forza preorder and ordered Madden. I just didn't see myself playing Forza too long. The early reviews of Madden have been good so I went that direction.

I have Madden and Ryse, though I can see me selling Ryse pretty quick as I heard it is short.

GameStop’s PlayStation 4 waiting list grows to 2.3 million customers after console sells out in under a week

OTOH Gamestop issues lower guidance for the Christmas quarter, despite the launch of new consoles:
GameStop Corp. GME -6.45% posted better-than-expected third-quarter results, but the videogame retailer projected disappointing earnings for the holiday season, despite the arrival of new gaming consoles.
The company's shares, which have more than doubled since the start of the year, fell Thursday.
For the fourth quarter, the company expects income of $1.97 to $2.14 a share, below estimates of $2.15 from analysts polled by Thomson Reuters. Same-store sales are expected to rise 2% to 9%.
The "guidance reflects the ongoing industry slowdown prior to the upcoming console cycle and management's conservatism," Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia said.
With videogame sales continuing to slide, the Grapevine, Texas, company has struggled to contend with consumers increasingly turning toward cheaper mobile games. Yet, GameStop and the market in general have had their sights set on the fourth quarter, which brings the much-anticipated next-generation consoles from Microsoft Corp. MSFT +0.80% and Sony Corp. SNE +0.70% , as well as the holiday-shopping season.
Seems like they've already had discounts on next-gen games to boost sales and there are sure to be more discounts leading up to Christmas.
So other than blockbuster launches like GTAV, it seems a struggle to sell $60 games, which certainly seems like an indication of the impact mobile games have had on the games pricing expectations.
