They rolled out a new patch about 5-6 days ago and the stability has been better. I've been lucky since I've only had it crash twice but I've also mainly been playing Conquest with a bit of Obliteration thrown in. I usually play on the following servers;

Players Ping

EasyCompanyGaming.com | 24/7 Conquest | Chicago

BFSUPREME CONQUEST MEAT GRINDER

[SMG] sunderhq.com | 48 Player Conquest | All Maps

Done pretty good with those. Good pings too.

I've already played BF4 (PC) for more than 20 hrs. And I can't wait to get my hands on the XB1 version! Just amazing multiplayer action.

I only wish my unlocks from the PC version carried over to the XB1 version (my understanding is that they DO transfer from PS3 --> PS4, and 360 --> XB1) - I've almost unlocked the entire sniper gadget tree and just unlocked the RPG-7 for the engineer class.

Any impressions of the PS4 version?

I'd like to see these as well. Wilk?

I'm reading that it is working very, very poorly. Freezes, drops, corruption issues...

Supposedly the PC version has issues as well?

I've only played Conquest Domination on the PS4 as I wait for the folks I played BF3 on the PS3 to get theirs.

I've had no issues at all. It looks phenomenal and plays great for me.

Loaded up tonight and played a round or two of Domination without any problems. Then I decided to try some Conquest and wouldn't get past the joining server screen. :(

I've read in a number of places that online (which is the only reason to get this game) is borked in the PS4 version currently. That said, I've also read the same about the PC version but I've had minimal to no problems. I've put in more than 25 hrs now and I have some people on my Origin PC friends list who've put in triple the amount. I've only been booted off a server 3-4 times in that period. I have been getting crashes/freezing but ONLY when I exit the game (so when I'm done a session) - and by then it's already saved my stats so I'm good, that's also a client-side issue rather than a server-side one.

I play on the same three servers now (from the list above) - Drunken Bastards, UnitedNoobs and Easy Company and have been pretty lucky.

Also....this game has taken over my life. :)

For those getting it on the XB1 - they are releasing timed exclusive DLC with some re-made BF3 maps. I'll post a link with some videos later, they look great. Also if you didn't play BF3 on PC they'll be a brand new experience because like BF4 the maps are bigger with more command points and areas that aren't on the 360/PC.

I only have 6 hours in to BF4 on PC, though I have seen some issues. At first I had problems with servers crashing. Last night on one round sound kept going in and out. Distracting and annoying, but not a breaker and it was just that one round.

Far more annoying are the asswipes who fly a helicopter the entire round and refuse to die.

The reload time on flares and chaff is significantly reduced. Once you unlock a Stinger it's much easier to counteract them - even if they fire off countermeasures you can reload your stinger much faster than they can set off some more flares. Good chopper pilots will fly out of range after the first hit (and if they're doing it right they'll have an engineer on board the scout and transport choppers to repair) but it gets them out of the area so you can capture/defend a flag and also get some cover.

The real b*tch are the heavy attack boats, those things are disgustingly powerful and on Paracel Storm you can capture points from the water!

I've heard others complain about the sound thing so it's not just you.

I unlocked the Stinger just before I quit last night, so I hope to wreak some havoc with it next time.

It wasn't just me on the sound because I saw people complaining about it on the in-game chat too. Maybe it was a server issue again.

I'm enjoying BF4 on the 360 even more than I dug BF3. Thought that was impossible.

BF4 looks great on XB1. Even better is the increased player account.

Only downside is problems with the servers. Played a couple of rounds, but also got dropped a few times and game crashes to Home screen. EA acknowledged problems across all systems and as an "apology" is running double XP 11/28 to 12/5.

Once the server issues are resolved, we ought to get an XB1 BF4 game night going.

Agreed. I thought the 64 player thing would be overwhelming but it's awesome. Game is beautiful.

Yup, I always thought 64 players would be an absolute cluster, but except for Operation Locker it's very well balanced.

I was not expecting much of a difference with the PS4 version outside of the 64 player count in CQ, but I am blown away by it. It's drop dead gorgeous, sharp and smooth, and the gameplay with the increased player count is on another level compared to last gen Battlefield. I can't believe the difference between it and the 360 beta I played last month. I have never played the pc version of Battlefield so this really feels to me like a true next-gen leap instead of just a slightly prettier game that is identical to its 360/PS3 counterpart.

I'm playing it on PC for the first time, and I assume it's pretty much the same as PS4/Xbone.

There is so much going on it's hard to keep track of it all, particularly when the controls aren't second nature. Game is both brilliant and overwhelming IMO.

Though tonight I have learned that I can use the battlelog iPad app and get a live minimap on a second screen? That sounds clutch.

Short video I threw together using the XB1's neat upload studio feature, be sure to set the resolution to 720p (there's an xbone joke there somewhere!) ;

I see at least Diablo, Pete, and Macca have it for Xbone and I am leaning that way as well, but I'd love to see a roll call of who has it for which machine just to be sure.

This one is probably going to be a download for me because I can't see myself getting rid of it anywhere near soon enough to get anything decent for it in trade.

Don't have it yet, but getting it for XB1 soon. Maybe today, actually.

Have it for XB1.

Man - I really wish I would have just bought digital copies of all my games! I guess I'll end up trading a couple in eventually, but I have really gotten used to the idea of not having to get up and swap discs, especially now that the XB1 has made it so seamless.

I'm still getting sent back to the XB1 home screen in the middle of just about every other MP match. Very frustrating. At least it doesn't completely freeze up the console. I guess that's an XB1 improvement.

I was ready to buy the season pass, but will wait until the game is fixed.

I've almost bought this game just about every day since launch of the PS4, but these sort of issues drive me bonkers, despite the great praise I've been hearing from friends whose opinions I trust. Eventually I'll grab it anyway, I'm sure, but maybe after another patch or two.

I'm in on PS4.

Web, server side patches have made it much better. I still get the occasional crash back to the dashboard, but all in all the stability has been vastly improved. I was able to play several rounds of Conquest, Domination and TDM last night (and one round of Conquest this morning) without issue.

You're a sniping stud, Macca. Remind me to be your teammate, not your foe, when I finally make it to the XB1/PS4 generation. :)

GameStop is going to have BF4 for $24.99 on Black Friday. Not sure if that includes PS4/XB1 versions. Great deal regardless
