Re: NFL 2013-14
Two surprises for me this week was the Chiefs destroying the Giants and the Bills beating the Ravens. Geno Smith is definitely not the answer in NY. I say 2-3 more weeks of that kind of performance and they'll be begging for Mark Sanchez to come back.

Re: NFL 2013-14
Titans 3-1 and have ZERO turnovers through four weeks.
Launching fisher sure seems to have been a massive upgrade from that burned out clown show.

Or they could play a defense ranked somewhere in the top 50%...alas they won't do that until week 11 so let the Bronco ball washing continue for at least 6 more weeks!!XXXIV wrote:Injury and or last years example of prevent defense could also come into play but yes, at this point, they are as good as it gets.Rodster wrote:I think the only way Denver can lose is if they miss their flight to the game. Holy hell that's a scary football team.

We hired this guy for a reason!

Re: NFL 2013-14
If healthy, I think the Chiefs can slow Denver down. But I don't think they can score enough to win. But they were without Brandon Flowers today, and they really need their #1 CB if they want to slow Manning down.RallyMonkey wrote:Or they could play a defense ranked somewhere in the top 50%...alas they won't do that until week 11 so let the Bronco ball washing continue for at least 6 more weeks!!XXXIV wrote:Injury and or last years example of prevent defense could also come into play but yes, at this point, they are as good as it gets.Rodster wrote:I think the only way Denver can lose is if they miss their flight to the game. Also, those three NFC East teams and Jacksonville may not be the best tests to really assess where KC's defense is yet.

The Bears are who we thought they were!
What a silly, stupid way to lose to the Lions. Detroit is pretty good this year and the Bears defense is not, but the Bears gave that game away. I dream of a world where a QB in a Bears uniform doesn't make panic throws off his back foot.

Bill Barnwell has an interesting look at how the Broncos start fits in historical context. I always enjoy reading his stuff.

Re: NFL 2013-14
Well its official...Tannehill has the worst pocket presence I have ever seen in an NFL quarterback. He just has zero feel for pressure and has no idea how to take a step up or slide left or right to avoid pressure. After watching the master Marino for so many years its really hard to watch.

Not so fast my friend!!!Rodster wrote:Jags up on the Rams.
Not even the slime ball and coward known as guppy could find a way to lose to the jags.
Rams win!!!
Im not that proud. Ill take any f***in win.

The Dolphins O-Line is just pathetic and I can't see Tannehill making to the end. What really pisses me off is how the Dolphins wasted $60 on Mike Wallace. Mike Sherman has NO clue how to properly use him. I'm currently backing off on Tannehill until the O-Line drastically improves
Re: NFL 2013-14
Credit to A.Luck and his team for rallying back against the Hawks. Maybe SEA sat back for too long with the lead against a very good team.
Re: NFL 2013-14
They could work on the FG team cause that was the difference. That 10 point swing was massive.10spro wrote:Credit to A.Luck and his team for rallying back against the Hawks. Maybe SEA sat back for too long with the lead against a very good team.

Re: NFL 2013-14
Typical Tony Romo performance. The guy will tease you with elite and just when you need him most, he turns into Mark Sanchez.
Re: NFL 2013-14
Tannehill needs better awareness but the o-line is awful. They can't run the ball at all so the whole second half the Ravens knew Miami was going to throw every down.
Having said that, they need to start rolling him out of the pocket. They did that a lot last year and he was very successful. Not sure why they haven't done that this year.
As mad as I am that they lost, if you would have told me before the season they would start 3-2, I would have taken it. The rest of their schedule is pretty manageable. Outside of NE twice, the rest of their games are all winnable.

Re: NFL 2013-14
I didn't see the whole game but it looked like the Cowboys couldn't stop the Broncos so Romo probably felt the pressure to keep up, probably pulled the trigger on some passes he might not have if the opponent was putting up points on virtually every possession.Rodster wrote:Typical Tony Romo performance.
