Splinter Cell DA: Spies Vs Mercs Fun Tme Spectacular

I'm throwing this out there:

Let's get in some last few sessions of good ol' SC:DA asymmetrical multiplayer goodness on all those classic maps we know like the back of our hands or at least remember somewhat (maybe).

We have about three weeks before the new SC game comes out with its new iterations of SC MP craziness, so why not step into the way back machine and travel back into 2006 for some Boss House or Kinshasa or Secret Base insanity?

Tonight or tomorrow works for me assuming at least three others are interested. 9:30 EDT would be the time I'd like to start. Two vs two (with the one Bot Merc) works great, but maximum amazingness would only be archived with the full three on three.

The new game will have "Classic" mode of two on two, like the old Xbox versions, and their new fangled four on four, but not the three on three from SC:DA, and I for one will miss the special dynamic that three on three provides. Every version of SC MP was different and unique in so many ways. It will be interesting to remind ourselves what we loved about this first 360 version, and maybe it will give us a running start into the new one.

I know I can't be the only one here who still has his copy of this game, so how's about it? It doesn't have to be tonight or tomorrow, we can figure out a future night when we can get a session in.

But why not sooner rather than later?

You might be...lol. Man, I haven't had that game in quite a while. I'd love to join in, but don't think I have the cheddar even for an el cheapo like this one at the moment. If there's enough interest, I might be able to redbox it, although I'm not sure redbox goes back that far...lol

Good times last night!

Double Agent (2006) graphics don't hold up too well, but the Spies v. Mercs gameplay was fun as ever. It got me even more excited for Blacklist on August 20th.

That was awesome guys. Tons of fun. After the initial period of total and complete confusion, it all started to come back. I had almost forgotten the unique, special feeling this game gives me as a spy. Almost. That wild mix of anxiety and thrilling hilarity. Like when I landed on Pete's head in that duct in Boss House. You know, the one where we've landed on each others heads countless times.

I really want to get enough guys so we can play some Mercs as well as spies. I guess roguewar didn't end up having the game? If Pete found it for $4 at his local GameStop, one wonders who else among those who used to play this game with us could also find a cheap copy?

I'd like to try again tonight. 9:30 works for me, but 10 is fine if that's better for others.

Fun stuff guys. Glad I was able to hop on for a bit. I always forget how much this game stresses me out, but in a good way...?

The MP really is brilliant in this game and I hope it doesn't change too much in the new one. I just love the 4 colored terminal hacking at a distance concept.

But man - Pete is right - this game's graphics don't hold up well at all. It's really washed out and almost not HD looking.

If you guys have a chance, see if you can download the two DLC maps, Kinshasa and Secret Base. I think they're in a free pack, but if not then forget it. We may not get around to them, but it'd be nice to have the option to try them out if they are free to download.
