Vader, that was FREAKING AWESOME!

I was hoping to show up on the reel, and you showed the trane scoring 2 goals, one as a D-Man and the other off a deflection(don't you hate it when someone goes third person?). Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wish that I scored more like Merv Tapper, but that dude is cold as ice and twice as nice.

It was good to see Max Game, LaDuuche, Alex Zorba, 10sPro, Naples and all I didn't mention lighting the lamp and tingling the twine. Once I get to work I can show my coworkers that I do score occasionally, and I'm more than a legend in my mind.

It sucks ill miss the Ice Dragons this weekend, but I'll see you all the following, here's hoping for many regulation wins, and some OT wins if needed. CHOO CHOOOO!!!!!!

Must say that that was a tough way to end a tough night.

There were some shining moments. Except for a couple of games in the middle( some teams are above our pay grade. Especially mine!) you guys were pretty damn good and I thought we deserved a couple more wins but thats hockey?

My highlight was being admonished by my bar tender for me celebration of the OT goal. Who over served during the Habs game? :P

After a night of rest I am ready to try again. 8)

 After playing mostly forward for a loooong while, I thought I acquitted myself well at RD for most of that game. I broke up most of the passes to the front of the net and nailed a few quality outlet passes...

But I completely botched that last play. I was marking the guy coming down the slot until I made the bad decision to cut and try to assist in the corner. The guy I was with maneuvered to improve his angle and I had no momentum to recover and was stuck in no man's land. So yeah, I felt pretty shite after that.

There is no joy in playing D in this game for sure, like you say you can be doing all the right things all game but it only takes a small mistake and its in the back of the net. The most infuriating part of D for me is being in the lanes all the time but the puck just goes right by or through your player its like whats the point.
Zero reward for doing the right thing all game.

You have my shoulder fellow d men

We are brothers! :)

I was speaking in general. I dont remember who was playing where or how the other team scored. Does it really matter? I only remember that we lost that one more game and that I would have kept going but I was falling off the cliff and getting worse by the game.

Playing D is its own reward. Yes it can be a special challenge. Yeah it sucks having the passes go through you or passing the puck left when you are entire being is pointing to the right or having that asswipe cherry picker get behind you that one moment you decide to move forward ....but...for some reason I get a kick out of it.

Three overtime losses on the night was rough as we were so close to winning most, if not all of them. The best thing about a subpar Friday night though is that we have a chance at redemption on Saturday night.

We must fight on even without Flo!

Don't worry, I get that. One of the nice things about this crew is we don't really call out one another. I'm was just owning up to my gaffe and talking through it for my own benefit. It would have been nice to have taken one or two of the winnable games at the end of the night, but it's always a fun night nonetheless.

After all, without last night, how would I have learned what phrase one isn't allowed to shout after a goal is scored

Nice job Ice Dragons!!!!!!! I'll be home Saturday I hope I won't be too tired to get back on the ice with y'all.

Alex Zorba is a beast in the extra periods. As the coach says, "Keep putting that puck in the net". Oh yeah, it was nice seeing Hugo Hackenbush play and score, man it sucks I missed y'all, but I'll be back this weekend. :D

Naples with two hat tricks last night for the Ice Dragons, fun stuff! I'll be up for some more action tonight after the Pens/Islanders game.
