Any Interest in a Links "League"

Post by JRod »

I'd be willing to run a few tournies here and there.

If there is interest let me know.

I was thinking in honor of the US Open about playing Ocean Mill Director's Cut. That's one freaking hard course. Even with my 7 power everything 1 character.

I'd be interested in some Links 2004 "Poker Nights." I used to have a lot of fun golfing with HipE, Toper, Cincy, Skrizzy, etc.

I picked up Links (along with Top Spin and Inside Drive during the Best Buy sale) after I got my XBox. Haven't spent much time with it, but would be interested in playing online occasionally.

At least you guys wouldn't have to worry about last!

I would definitley be interested. I picked up Links a few weeks ago, but sold it since there was no interest in tournaments among this group. I would gladly pick up another copy if we got a weekly tournament going.

I'm all for it. My only problem comes when we try to do live events, week after week. I work a rotating shift schedule that never has me off more than two weeks in a row at the same time on the same day. No matter when something is scheduled, the best possible attendance record I can have is 60%. Of course if it's a mix of live and offline, I can usually work in a round of golf at some point during any day.

I'd be interested as well, but only if we were required to use zero skill pt. players.

I'd be interested to0, in a 7 skill-point player tournament, on the advanced difficulty level. The nice thing is that you don't *have* to golf with others; you can just get your round in whenever possible, after connecting to the tournament via Xbox Live. This my be convenient for guys like Jon, who have irregular schedules.

I'm game as well, as long as we put some sort of cap on skill points.

Kevin is right - a tournament would seem to be the way to go but the real fun in Links is multiplayer online. Can you do both, that is can you have a bunch of players online simultaneously doing their tournament rounds?

Yes, you can play tournament rounds in foursomes.

James,

Is this something they fixed in a patch? Back when the game first came out HipE, Granatofan, and I tried to play a tourney round together and it only allowed two people for an XSN match.

I agree with Blub. Links multiplayer is really fun. We just can't discuss the Reagan legacy   :P

I thought it worked! Let's try it.

To test it, try playing as a group in the following 1 round tournament I created.
