Re: MLB 2012 Season
As a Braves fan I am not losing any sleep, but it sounds like the Yankees will be fielding a AAA lineup to start the year with so many injuries and question marks. As deep as the AL East is this year, they could be out of it by June. I just don't see where the hits will come from and it is not like they have that deep a set of arms. If Jeter and Rivera are slow to come back it could really get ugly.

Re: MLB 2012 Season
I did a fantasy draft (simmed it) like I always do while waiting for opening day rosters to keep me busy. I can't remember the computer being this bad at selecting and lineups. I had no CF in my organization and a serious lack of depth in the OF. However I had 15 pitcher on my MLB roster 5 starters and 10 relievers.
I don't ever recall it screwing the pooch that bad before.

Verlander signs a 7 yr extension worth 180 big ones. DET did the right thing, he would have earned all that and more someplace else.

Just means you can almost certainly kiss Price goodbye in Tampa. No way they can afford 20+ mil per and he'll get that for sure.

Yikes...8 year extension for Posey too. Never want to give 8/9 years to a catcher, even though he's probably the best in the game. That one might hurt someday.

No, Yadi is the best in the game.dbdynsty25 wrote:Yikes...8 year extension for Posey too. Never want to give 8/9 years to a catcher, even though he's probably the best in the game. That one might hurt someday.

There will probably be a move to 1B. before that contract is over.dbdynsty25 wrote:Yikes...8 year extension for Posey too. Never want to give 8/9 years to a catcher, even though he's probably the best in the game. That one might hurt someday.
