Question about toca online...
How does the point system work? I know you start out at 1500 and go from there. But it seems all I am doing is watching my points go down further and further. How do you gain points? Is it from winning races,top 3,etc??? I finished like 7th tonight and got 2 points docked from my total. It's just frustrating for a beginner like me. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The ratings are an ELO system. You gain or lose points based upon where you finish in respect to where you are predicted to finish based upon the ratings of the other drivers in the race. For example two 1500 drivers race against each other and one would get +10 while the other would get -10. Now a 2000 races against a 1000 and beats him. He would probably only get +1 while the 1000 would get -1. There are races I have finished 3rd and lost points and races where I finished in the bottom half and gained points. Just race as well as you can and don't be too concerned about the points and have fun. I was in the low 1300's before I started getting better and climbed back up above 1500.
