Their are one caliente team for sure. Emery has played very well whenever he was called. Come Tuesday night, they'll be seeing their first loss in regulation time.
I'm sure they will lose a lot of games in regulation but the best start I have seen since I've been watching them.

Good game last night in Vancouver, gave up the lead late in the 3rd but Allen makes another game saving save and the Blues win in the SO.

From your two points perspective you can call it that, but typical of Hitchcock's prints especially when his team has a lead I was floored to boredom with the whistle being blown every 30 seconds or so as the Blues were clogging the neutral zone trying to counter VAN's speed.

J. Allen does seem like he belongs in the league.

I missed the LIVE game, watched most of the 2nd and 3rd periods on fast forward, then watched OT and the SO.

Cheap shot aside you can't stand in the way of history Vancouver you're just part of it.

Hawks tie NHL record for best start, one more win to stand alone.

Another night and another win for the Hawks.

Only thing that worries me about them is the goaltendng and if it will hold up in the playoffs. Three very soft goals tonight.

As for the cheap shot and it was disgraceful, some of the credit has to go to Bettman. Its okay to go after players heads especially if they are named Hossa.

Canucks had no business in this game and where really fortunate to earn a point late in the third. The odd man rushes given to CHI was atrocious and if it wasn't for Schneider, this game could have easily ended up 7-3 or more.

As for Hansen's elbow to the back of the head of Hossa, I don't think it was a malicious play, it was reaction play where the puck is in the air and he unfortunately hurts Hossa who at that point was the best player on the ice. There's no intent to hurt the player, in fact there was no penalty called until the zebras see him hurt.

With Marian's concussion history, it was the safe thing to do to pull him away. Unfortunate because, I love watching skilled guys and he was putting on a show.

Still, it was a hit to the head but it terms of cheapness, it pales in comparison to the hit by D. Keith to D. Sedin last year at the madhouse.

'Nucks better look hard in the mirror after this game full of giveaways.

Hellish action in the Flyers Pens game tonight. They simply don't like each other. Glad to see my Flyers get the win in their barn.

Very enjoyable game and much different than the Blues - Avalanche game I'm watching now. :)

Taylor Hall with a 2 game suspension. Even as a die hard Oiler fan, I agree with it. Sort of like the Cooke thing, he may not have had it in his head to intentionally injure Clutterbug, but it was a stupid reckless play. I'm kind of surprised it was only 2 games, but I guess his lack of history helped keep it down.

It's funny to read comments online from other folks too, saying he shouldn't have gotten anything, and that it's Clutterbug's fault that he "can't take a hit". Ahhhhh, mindless passion! It's great. ;)

The Hawks are going to get me kicked out of my house because I end up screaming every other night and waking up the kids.

With the league in order hopefully for the next decade when it comes to bargaining, both sides have been changing ideas about realignment and unless you''re a Jacket fan or fancy the Panthers's claw, the new scheme would see four different conferences that would make a helluva lot more sense than the current status. Teams like DET would benefit by going to the East, the Jets would also play more within their geographical area, while my "Nuckers would get rid of teams like Minny and COL (can't wait) and play more the likes of LA and SJ but more importantly play more games within their time zone while reducing their brutal air miles travel.

Regarding the Hawks, despite their rivalry with VAN and is the best match up going (their games with SJ have a lot of juice too) in the league, what they are doing deserves merit. A lot of the hatred in the past between VAN-CHI is partly gone due to players migrating to other teams and as I was telling my daughter, they play the type of hockey that I like. Players like Toews and Kane have finally grown up and taken the lead, a swift D led by Keith and while they still have a moron like Carcillo running around, they are a well rounded team.

Oilers personnel including Lowe and MacTavish at Flyers game last night.

Everyone knows the Flyers have an obvious need for a puck-carrying defenseman, and Ryan Whitney would be a fit. The only question is what will the Oilers want for a guy who has been a healthy scratch recently and is not receiving much interest around the league as the Oil shop him.

Hemsky could also be a fit, as the Flyers lack skill and snipers on the wing too. Actually Schenn, Voracek and Briere have picked it up enough recently that this is not terribly pressing concern anymore though, so maybe not.

You can have Whitney for a used puck bag. He's terrible. Never recovered from his ankle injury. Very, very slow.

Ovechkin's tale is little different than a basket full of Russian players in the NHL. They worked their ass off the leave Russia and reach the promised land in the NHL, landed a fat second contract and got lazy.

Replace Ovechkin's name with Alexander Semin, Alexei Yashin, Alexander Radulov, etc. Hell, even Alexei Kovalev looked like he didn't give a sh*t half the time he was lighting lamps around the NHL.

Not every Russian is lazy, but there are pretty clear examples that lead one to believe that some Ruskies are content just to make it to the NHL and land fat deals.

Can't wait until Sunday afternoon at The Joe.

This is not the Red Wings of the past 15 years but I still really enjoy watching them. The defense needs to cut down on the turnovers and the power play needs to get better but still a fun team to watch. Datsyuk is just amazing.

Injuries sure have taken a toll. Hope they can sneak into the playoffs.
