Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter
For those of you who have this game, the new Zero Dark Thirty map pack came out today. Also, a MP tweak that seems to have nailed pretty much every little technical issue there was in the game. Hit detection is MUCH improved, as is the overall pacing of the game. I'm not sure what all the patch addressed, but everything was a bit better looking and cleaner overall. I've only played one of the new maps, but it's fantastic. LOTS of hiding places and multiple levels. Great stuff.

I still have this one and keep meaning to jump back into it. Is there still a decent online presence?

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter
I wonder if it would have done so poorly if reviewers hadn't of used it as their punching bag. It seemed almost cool to give this game a crap score. To be fair, I didn't play it but I can't imagine it was nearly as bad as the games press made it out to be.dbdynsty25 wrote:So much for the MoH series...scrap it.

EDIT: Teal liked it and if there's one genre that man knows it's shooters!

Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter
The review stuff was complete horseshit. I play it darn near nightly, still...and it's my absolute favorite shooter in recent memory. I loved the campaign, LOVE the MP, and just wonder how that much bad crack got into so many game reviewers' basements at the same time. Meanwhile, the kiddie-pool of COD continues to get undeserved love for cranking out carbon copies year after year with zero innovation.
Just stupid.
EDIT: I'll say this. Other than Operation Flashpoint: Red River, this game has no equal. Of course, you can look at how that game was reviewed, and see the pattern. Good shooters get panned, caffiene addled shooters for 13 year olds get praised. And I have to put GR:FS into the mix as another shooter I enjoyed because of the tactical nature. But Warfighter will spin in my console until the servers go down.

To be fair it didn't do well in user reviews either. The user score is actually lower than the review score on meta critic.Macca00 wrote: I wonder if it would have done so poorly if reviewers hadn't of used it as their punching bag. Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter
They'll come back for the next consoles. I hope so...
Re: Medal of Honor: Warfighter
What killed this game, IMO, is not the online or single player components. It was the terrible online user interface. Nothing intuitive about it at all and it pretty much ruined an otherwise great experience for me. I love the map design in both of the last two MoH games, but their user interfaces have been less than to be desired.
