Yeah, got Page Monitor (extension) for Chrome pinging the Play Store.

Hope they don't wait 'till 12am PST to release the hounds...
Seeing as how google is in Northern Cali...I'd bet on it.

Got mine ordered after plenty of pain...8gb was all that was left when I had a chance to get away from work for a few min. The only reason I'd want the 16gb is for resale anyway. On my Galaxy Nexus that I've been using for a year, I've got 3.5gb used, lol and 90% of that is pictures and videos I've taken since my son was born, so 8gb is plenty for me. Still would rather have 16gb, but whatever.

I actually got a order through, but it was cancelles because of a "Invalid Address".

BS, since Google's support page clearly states that the N4 and all other devices sold in the Google Store can be shipped to Puerto Rico.

I'm pissed.

It's no different from any other launch really...no one has the servers to handle these things. Apple's site is crappy too when it comes to launches. The iPhone 5 and iPad Mini were the first time I got through without any huge issues like this morning.

Did it!

16GB, just now.

DB, keep refreshing, eventually you'll get a In STOCK button.

Had to re-enter all of my billing and shipping information, this time with PR as a state and US as a country.

Boom, done!

Nice, glad to hear you ordered one.

I'm good, I got one on order, I'll let someone else get whatever else pops up. No sense it taking two of them. I'm fine with 8gb, again, I have all my music in Google Music so it's all streamed anyway. No biggie. Plus, do you really think it's in stock just randomly? I find that hard to believe...I bet it was a fluke and you'll be waiting a while. Mine already says shipping by November 15th, so I'm cool w/ that.

Well I did get the confirmation Email, the difference this time is that I didn't get a cancellation
Email a couple of mins later like all the other orders.

I just called Google and they confirmed my last order went through. The question is, will it ship today?

My Google Wallet states a shipping estimate of November 15.

BTW, I missed out on ordering a bumper thanks to this shipping address BS.

Oh well.

Got Android 4.2 installed last night on my Galaxy Nexus and damn did they do a good job with the update. The quick settings and widgets on the lock screen have been needed for a while and now they are included. Photosphere (panorama is for pussies) and the new quick toggles in the camera app are all just awesome. Pulling further and further ahead of iOS as far as OS innovation goes, that's for damn sure.

I really am a fool for upgrading to the Nexus 4 because the Galaxy Nexus is still so damn good. If the damn thing just had an acceptable camera, it would be fine, but it's so bad it's almost laughable. The N4 better blow me away or I'll just return it and stick w/ the trusty Galaxy Nexus...or switch back to Verizon and get the DNA...that is one ridiculous phone.

Most likely against my better judgment, I'd still been waiting on someone to put a flagship phone for WP8 on VZ.

But I think the DNA is going to be the catalyst to kill that plan, and it's most likely to be for the best.

Also, while I know you mentioned switching for it if you were inclined, early reports are that it is GSM unlocked. Of course, you'd be stuck paying the full retail and at that rate there are probably better alternatives on your existing carrier.

So the S3 is already outdated in your eyes? I still think that phone is amazing.

Yeah, it's a good thing there is a phone that will kill your WP8 plan, because that's just a bad plan. :)

And yeah, I saw that it's GSM unlocked, but if I'm going to get the DNA, half of the draw would be LTE as it's finally available here in my area of Southern California. I don't have that with At&t here yet, and probably won't for a while. So if I was to switch back to Verizon (I had them for years) it would only be for this phone and on LTE. We'll see how the Nexus 4 is when it arrives and if it doesn't blow me away (I think it will), I'll pick up a DNA and see how that goes. :)

I really worry about the TOP power button however. It's a big phone and it's a pain to use top buttons after spending the last year on side mounted ones (Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy SIII and now Nexus 4)...it's just a better design when it's on the side as far as ease of use goes. I've got dainty little girl hands as well, so that's going to be a problem for me I think.

It's a damn good time to be an Android fan, I do know that much. Nexus 4, Droid DNA, HTC One X+, Galaxy SIII, Galaxy Note II, Razr Maxx HD, etc...all fantastic f'n phones.

Absolutely not. When did I say that? It's still a beast. I grouped it with the other ridiculously good phones that have come out recently. It is still in the top 5. :)

Thanks for the feedback. I've got Big Paw hands so I'm not worried about the latter, but I *do* have some concerns about the battery life on this thing. Still, I've nearly made up my mind to get it at this point and I don't think I want to wait past the launch date as I've been dying for a new phone for several months now...

If your hands are decent sized, you'll be fine. And it's a ridiculously good phone. Qualcomm has done a lot of good work with their LTE chips this past year and something like the GS3 gets really good battery life on Verizon (my sis and bro-in law both have one), so I'm fairly confident the battery life will be just fine. LTE and battery life issues appear to be a thing of the past.

Javy, did you get an email yet stating the Nexus 4 is backordered? They oversold the crap out of it, so don't be surprised if you do. Thankfully mine shipped last night, so I'm all good! Like I said previously in this thread, I wouldn't trust any order placed after the first order window, which yours was. I'd be surprised if you get yours in the first shipment.

Yep, shipping "within 3 weeks".

Crap!

At least they're gonna waive the shipping fee, but still...
