I thought I would start a topic about this game since its been consuming my free time for the last 2.5 weeks or so. For those of you who played the bad game know as Elemental War of magic in 2010 this is the game it should of been. The good news is you might qualify for and upgrade or a free version of this entirely.

Its a 4x game thats a cross between Civ, Might & Magic and an RPG. It is loaded with customization tools and is just a tiny bit addicting. Is anyone else is playing the game?

Sounds like something I would like.. I might wait for a Steam sale though as I've been spending way to much on games lately. Keep the impressions coming though!

The great thing about Fallen Enchantress is I am 3 weeks in and I’m still discovering things I can do and I just want to keep playing. I haven’t had that feeling with this type of game since Civ IV.

I didn't even mention the scenarios which are a different game aspect than the typical form a city and expand. The scenario has a story element to it and it limits things like forming other cities etc. Just a different more rpg take on it.

Spent an hour or so tonight.. went through the tutorial and then started a game on beginner. It is like Civilization with an RPG element to it, so far really fun.

I've been playing the beta for a while. Some good changes like champions now being tied to a Fame score rather than being placed on the map to be gathered. Traits are selected from a tree now - not sure I like this.

I don't feel like there's enough added on top of FE to justify the price, but if you like these types of games and didn't get the original FE, it's worth a buy. I played a lot of FE and maybe 50 hours of the beta and am done with the game for the foreseeable future, as each new game is starting to feel the same.

Being an original Elemental user I have gotten all of these as free upgrades. This is what you call good customer service for us early adopters. Anyway I love the new version but the game really needs a multiplayer pitboss type enhancement.
