Now you know why I built my own years ago. Only I went TOO large, with a damn-near full-sized car in my game room.
I was going to ask you to let me know where you got one on the cheap if you ended up buying one. I've been looking for one, but don't want to drop $700 or more on a decent one.
It got a 9 of 10 at Inside Sim racing and I like how it is modular and you can add the seat base or just use any chair. I'm on the fence because the seat I am about to order is $170 itself. Plus material and time to build my own.
At this point I need to replace the wheel first because the MS one might catch on fire apparently. I wasn't dreaming when I smelt burning last night apparently I should of sent mine for a retrofit because when plugged into the ac adapter they can smoke and catch fire. Glad I left it plugged in all night.

For me personally, the last few can't hold a candle to Horizon, but I can't say for certain on the newest one since I haven't played MW yet.
Thing is, this new NFS will be neither the Run nor Hot Pursuit...nor Horizon. It is really Burnout Paradise 2, and will have it's own type of crazy fun. Don't see it replacing Horizon rather than complementing it. I'm getting it, too, and am looking very forward to it, but again, it's a very different type of game. It will likely be alot of fun, in a different sort of way. But I'll keep playing Horizon for the foreseeable future...just with some MoH, NFS, and AC3 peppered in there on different nights...whew. That's almost a different game per night!

I have been looking at that setup as well. Looks solid and still relatively cheap compared to full on cockpit setups.
When I get home I will post a picture of my makeshift setup for the MS Wheel that I use. It completely depends on your current setup as to if it will work for you, but it is a relatively cheap setup that I use for my console racing - consists of an Ikea Chair, small computer/utility table, and TV tray, along with the MS Wheel. Pedals are secure and tilted using part of my TV's console for support. Bascially I am using the following:

Won't divert mine. I have no interest in it.
Well, I was always a big Burnout fan, and I do love a good cop chase... But like Teal already said, they are different Animals, and there's room for both!
Honestly I don't know the difference nor do I know anything about this game. I just saw you guys talking about it and remembered reading that this morning. I was one of the lone few who like the last NFS.

I didn't play 'The Run'. Hot Pursuit was my last NFS game, and I really enjoyed that one. This one is supposed to be a little HP, and a whole lotta Burnout Paradise.
I have decided it is time to step up in this game. TCS off, driving line off, rewinds off (not that I really used them), cockpit cam. Still have ABS on. Gets my offline multiplier up to 95%.
I also just tried xbox smart glass on my laptop running windows 8. Kind of neat to have a full screen map running all the time, but I don't think I'll use it that much. There might be some other features in there that I have yet to discover though.
I finally got my network up and running consistently last night and got some decent time in with the game. Very fun game and I think I like the Rivals stuff in Horizon even more so than in FM4. Very fun game. Even just cruising around is a blast. Anyway, I came across some good links as I was trying to get some answers regarding upgrading (something I rarely did in FM4, or any previous GT/FM game).
PS - They just released the info regarding the Nov DLC that will come up a week from today.
Now that you have had a little time to get to know the cars of Forza Horizon and maybe even picked up the Month 1 Car Pack, you might be asking: What’s next? Well, next week, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your garage even further with The November Bondurant Car Pack, coming to Xbox LIVE on Tuesday, Nov. 6 for 400 MS Points. Rockstar is giving away a promotional Mustang in livery. Just need to enter you name, email, and stuff and they will Email a code to you. Heres the link:

I'll be ready. Having put some time into 1p, found 6 of the 9 barn finds, I have quite a few C and D class car to choose between.
How do you fins these Barns? Do you just drive around until it shows up? Are they labeled when you do actually drive near one? I looked and looked for the first one that was available and after about 45 minutes of not finding it I gave up.
TCrouch wrote:You get hints and then it's a wide gray circle on your map. The barn is somewhere in there. You drive around until you find it.
Thanks TC. Yeah - I figured that but even driving around in that circled area i never saw anything displayed so I was concerned that it was more hidden and I had to somehow uncover it by like running into it or something. lol

They are not too hidden. Basically cruise the roads that are in the gray area and look for any place where you can leave the main road due to a lack of guard rails, and that will usually lead you to it. Once you get close to the barn a cut scene will kick in.
