Wow, how unlucky for Celtic in ET. They defended so well thru 90+ minutes until J. Alba took care of the lucky bounce.

MU turn their bad start also with a comeback 3-2 win.

Man City is not looking good in their group after dropping to Ajax 3-1 today. Nasri got things going for them but they stopped playing after that.

Good win for Dortmund against RM.

After almost 2 years of absence it's River-Boca, Boca-River again in the Monumental. Unfortunately for me, it's the Gallinas 2-1 so far. Lots of emotion,9 yellow cards, lots of bad blood going...Luv it!

Merseyside derby goes the Reds way again. 3-2 win. Well done, lads.

Extra credit for the celebration of the year so far and BR's reaction to same:

You mean they decided to count that Suarez goal afterall?

Awesome. My compliments to the Brits for their fair play agenda. :P

Hey, you know it was a good goal. I know it was a good goal. Even Leon Osman, who is probably right now arguing geopolitics with his electroshock therapist, knows it was a good goal, so there's really no controversy at all.

Boca ties it 2-2 in additional time despite being outplayed by a more focused River. We'll take it. Good to see the Superclasico back.

El Niño shouldn't cry foul for his stupidity after his team did a good job of tying the game. It ended up costing them.

Credit to Gollum for both his reaction to Suarez's celebration and the linesman's cock-up at the death.

Really buzzing after that derby win and glad we don't have to discuss inept officiating again.

My favorite moment of the season;

EDIT:
Oh yeah, and I really hope Gollum has a talk with Phil Neville about his dive. That kind of thing is going to turn the public and fans off football.

Don't tell anybody, but I thought that was a harsh yellow. Agger gave him a bit of a shove, not enough to warrant the flop but enough that I think a simplet "get up" from Mariner would have sufficed.

The real tragedy of the disallowed goal is that we didn't get to see the celebration that Suarez would have done, which I assume would have involved that projectile coin that he slipped into his shoe.

LOL So true.

Also, Fellani surely has to be on the move after this season or perhaps even in January. Of course he'd have to move to another Premier League team* because while he's an absolute beast in the EPL, in another league he'd be called for a foul every 2 minutes. Watching Joe Allen try to out-muscle him was hilarious.

* And by 'another Premier League team' I mean United where he can have the extra benefit of being protected by Sir Red Face.

In other news I got a yellow card for a goal celebration yesterday which was brilliant. Scored the winner in the last minute and was so pumped I kicked the corner flag into the stand. I don't get too many goals so each one is like Christmas (an angry, pumped up, screaming Christmas). ;)

That's for people who score goals regularly. When you only average about 3 or 4 a season you tend to get a bit excited! LOL ;)

The only way this can be worse than what fox has done is if they dont use the Epl commentary crews and try to pipe in their own tools.
Does this mean i can finally lower my dish network bill? maybe. I had to get the highest TV package just to get FSC.
We'll see but with what FSC has done with its broadcasts is just hideous and un watchable any more, Barton and crew are unwatchable and the latest news show, well, i never thought id be crying to get that stumbling Esa whatshisname back crimeny.
So roll on Dan Patrick calling the next Mersyside Derby

I'm cautiously optimistic. The lack of mid-week games is a concern, as we don't know yet who will carry those. There is also ample opportunity for them to screw up the commentary, as you say. Finally, if Ian Darke doesn't end up with a gig, I'll be p.o.'ed.

Ian Darke sounds like he won't be going to NBC as I don't think there is a NBC equivalent to work for in the UK.

Reading vs. Arsenal in the League Cup today was insane.

Arsenal were 4-0 down before halftime. Made it 4-4 in regulation, then Arsenal won 7-5 in ET. SEVEN-FIVE.

Madness!

Shoot, on the West Coast, it's 5 AM games.

But if they show it on channels which aren't on special sports tiers, they should get an audience, from expats if nothing else.

LOL That great!

If they gave out cards for swearing in the adult leagues I wouldn't be able to play (and that's just me addressing my teammates!).

In other news, this Clattenburg stuff is fascinating. If they're not sure about what he said they should ask Patrice Evra, word is he heard Clattenberg say it "10 times"....or was it "7 times"? I dunno.
