It is very scary right now, no doubt.

Why bother, Michael - Robert Huth can just stamp on Suarez literally (and get away with it).

What a team of utter shithouses Stoke are - and yet the media laps this up and runs with the same 'foreigners' diving narrative. And I love that Stoke think they're a bunch of hardmen - for bullshit late tackles. Get me a bloody time machine and Graeme Souness, that prick would break their legs and he could play too.

Souness, Jimmy Case and Tommy Smith, no one got touched.

And now Fabian Johnson may miss both games due to the flu, and Jermaine Jones is also carrying an injury.

At least Michael Bradley is back, and Dempsey is at full fitness.

The Germans are playing beautifully against the Swedes. Already 2-0 after 15 minutes of samba soccer.

Poland-England will probably be a washout.

Other interesting matches, Spain-France and later tonight Chile-Argentina.

Germany gives up a 4-0 lead at home. that won't be pretty reading.

Fellas.
This is slightly off topic but thought i'd ask here.

What happened to ESPN3's coverage of soccer? Seems like last year we had a healthy dose of domestic leagues including the Bundesliga, Spain, Italy, Holland and at least a couple of EPL games a week. Now it seems we might get a early saturday morning epl game (with no replay, no bundesliga, some WC qualifiers are being listed, but not being shown.. or matches that are only being aired in spanish. Did something change? ESPN3 through my 360 was my only source of footy and now it's leaving me disappointed more often than not.

BeIn Sports has been buying up a lot of tv licenses. Maybe ESPN lost their licenses to them.

EDIT:
Consider that Miami-based beIN Sport, which debuted with English- and Spanish-language channels in early August, has already gobbled up U.S. rights to the top leagues in Spain (including last weekend's Barcelona-Real Madrid rivalry game), Italy and France, as well as all South American World Cup qualifiers and the U.S.' away qualifiers (except at Mexico).

An absolute embarrassment. It was men against boys, totally outclassed. Perhaps next time they should field Christine Sinclair and the girls for any qualifying.

On another note, Argentina just beat Chile in Santiago with goals from Messi and Higuain. They look solid on top of the table for Brazil 2014.

Canada's men's team is an absolute shower. Sinclair has more balls alone than the entire men's team put together.

No one's mentioned it, but Klinsmann is breathing a massive sigh of relief.

There were many surreal moments in these final 2 qualifiers for the USA, but who would've expected the USA to get their biggest goal in qualifying when Alan Gordon crossed to Eddie Johnson in the 90th minute against Antiga. 2 goals and an assist for Eddie...not bad at all.

Still shambolic defensive breakdowns for the USA defense in each game though.

The defense is certainly not good enough to do any damage in Brazil.

LOL I was going to post the exact same thing (word for word). Thought of you when I saw your Serbian 'cousins' misbehaving. I'm surpised no one kidnapped Raheem Sterling - he could totally fit in someone's bag...

I forsee UEFA taking MASSIVE action......16K fine coming up! lol

Look I hate to keep picking on the Serbs, but when instigating WWI is one of the least of your nation's historical transgressions, you have to realize that you're just an international blight. :)

I know Fifa i love watching the Bundesliga and that was my only outlet for it.
I got laughed at by Rob and Macca the other night for talking about a game from the end of last Bundesliga season, i guess i shoulda checked the date huh  But it was still a classic match with awesome atmosphere in the stadium. I was just looking for a game to watch, it seems to have dropped them all since the last update to the dash board im bummed too.

The atmosphere at some of those Bundesliga games is phenomenal. Did you see the traveling Dortmund fans when the went to play Arsenal at the Emirates - absolutely surreal.

Unfortunately, it sometimes goes a bit awry - 200 fans were arrested after fighting surrounding the Dortmund vs. Shalke game today. :(

That game was a ton of fun to watch. Mata and Hazard are just awesome to watch. That first time Hazard pass for the 2nd Mata goal was sublime.

Too bad Tiote got sent off today because I was really looking forward to Newcastle twatting the Mackems (who were lucky to get a 1-1 tie even with an extra man for 3/4 of the match).
