I know you're being funny but I don't consider the Steelers a team that gets the benefit of the doubt. In fact I don't think it is a team thing but more a player thing. The Packers did get hosed in that last game but did you see how ineffective they were when PI ahd defensive holding wasn't being called every 5th play. Watch how Aaron and the Pack turn it around now that the refs are back.

What how many WR now start producing more.

Again I am glad the refs are back but I predict a lot more calls now, maybe more than normal to show they are back.

Dan, it was more of a response to Tim who specifically mentioned them and as a general statement to those on talk radio and such that still think the Steelers get calls. It was nice to see the Seahawks get the benefit of a call for once. I don't hear any of them apologizing.

The regular officials do a better job of controlling and managing a game to keep it running faster, but except for a handful of phantom PI calls a lot of the calls are just as questionable. Actually, it's more of a rulebook problem than an officiating problem. It's way too complicated. I still don't understand how the ground cannot cause a fumble but can cause an incompletion after someone catches the ball and takes a few steps but hits the ground and loses the ball.

Steelers have actually been around the middle of the league in number of penalties called the last two years. The Pats have been in the top 10 for fewest penalties, but both years they have been behind the Dolphins and Bills.

So, as usual, conventional wisdom may be conventional, but it ain't wisdom.

Remember when Shula used to get all the calls and Miami was a small market?

NFL with revenue sharing means there's no such thing as a small market. Payrolls are about the same and most teams have no problems spending up to the cap.

Rooney's are the ones who pushed for the salary cap.

Tannehill knows how to really throw the worst interceptions. And of course Carpenter missing another big kick. At least this week I got to see the devastation in person. F*ck.

BTW...it is FREEZING in Arizona's stadium...goodness. Guess it's good when it's 100 out and 65 indoors. Pretty cool looking place and it was LOUD. Imagine if they were playing a good team. LOL.

Just a great effort all around by the Bears. It was nice to see them not let up and keep the pressure on the Cowboys. Also generous of Dallas to give them so much help.

How bout them Cowboys? Will Jerry admit he needs better football people in the front office? Oh yeah he did that already, gave Parcells big money and the drove him out of town in favor of TO.

Rex Ryan doubling down on Sanchez. Hmm it only took Alex Smith like 3 years to get the coach who drafted him fired ...

Love the intensity of the defense but can't stand the mental mistakes.

How about Janoris Jenkins. Kid can play!
