Analysts may fret about an Apple without S. Jobs, shares may decline in the near term, but Apple’s immediate future remains bright. I am sure he's got a confident cast supporting the operation of the company.

The one thing SJ was unmatched at were his keynotes. He gets a lot of media coverage, even in the years when Apple was struggling.

If anyone else gave that first iPhone demo and unveiling, it would not have had nearly the same impact.

Not only that but he had an uncanny knack for thinking ahead and polishing a turd so to speak. The iPhone/iPad/iPod all ideas that were already tried. He was able to change the product so that it became an instant hit.

I still don't think Cook has that. Like I said Apple is fine right now but eventually the competition will catchup. As for SJ, my take is he's definitely got serious health problems. He did not leave because he was bored or wanted to retire.

Ok guys, as I try to procure a new iPhone 4S, I thought I'd seek some advice about good cases from you guys who've had a 4 for a while. I worry about the occasional drops, and also in my pocket it might get knocked a bit from time to time. I don't want anything super bulky, though, so a nice compromise between decent protection and still being able to keep it in my pocket.

I like the weird, combination soft skin / hard outer skeleton one I have for my 3S, but I can even remember the manufacturer's name anymore. Any input would be appreciated.

Switcheasy makes good cases. My buddy just got the 4S and got a Speck case that looks great on it too.

So does INCASE.....I have used their cases on past 3 iPhones and they are sturdy and have cases with a rubberized texture on the outside that helps with slipping out of your hand....several color options as well.

I have an Otterbox and it's a bit bulky but offers serious protection. I've dropped mine a few times to no ill effect.

Need help - I just got a iphone 4s, upgrading from my Iphone 3.

I went ahead and backed up my Iphone 3 on Itunes.

Then after that, I plugged my new phone in and restored from backup.

I got all my contacts, pictures, and pretty much everything else EXCEPT MUSIC!! and some Apps.

Does anyone here know why my music didn't transfer over? I did that iCloud thing and I am afraid that screwed it up for me. I went to itunes on the phone and saw 'purchased items' and downloaded back those songs, but they were like 5 out of 40. The rest of those songs I paid from other sites and uploaded to iphone via itunes.

Anyone who's a iphone expert help me out here why my music isn't showing up in 'MUSIC' section (i guess they replaced the ipod name on it).

That was great. Believe it or not, I've never owned a iPhone as much of an apple lover I am. Perhaps if there were better deals on monthly charges, I'd consider. I just don't want to be spending $100 + for a cell phone a month. Plus, I don't like to be locked in to a two or three year committment.

Those aren't details...those are the same things the Touch does already. LOL...so they are putting a coat of paint on the hardware, that's it.

Not till October allegedly. Leaving this event up to the iPhone and iPods. I'd imagine the October event would be a retina 13" MacBook Pro (my next laptop) and the Mini iPad.
