Color me impressed!

Listening to people and looking at the stats I was expecting a million drops but all I saw was a guy doing a great job.

No surprise. At least he's not in Miami trying to catch balls from Henne II.

Call him Tennehill. As DB said to me on Facebook, it's a race to the bottom for AFC East quarterbacks when determining who's worse, Fitzpatrick or Tannehill. :)

Why are you leaving out Sanchez he usually joins this race at about game 4 of the season? :)

Sanchez gets help from the D but if you put in him Buffalo, he'd probably get cut.

I think we may finally have a quarterback in Washington .... So much fun to be in the Super Dome and enjoy that incredibly unexpected result. Awesome.

I'm happy with the Rams game. This team is going to be good, in time.

Detroit should have kicked our asses, but we hung in their and played a good game. I hope Safford is ok. :(

I am tired of a decade of that bullshit. I am NOT happy with a loss. I am sick of that moral victory trash. The game was won twice in the fourth quarter and then lost twice by an aging and VERY cowardly head coach. f***in p***y! If he had any balls that would have been a win!

Im tired of accepting failure. A decade of that is enough.

Win or get the f*** out... Fisher you f***in b*tch!

I can't believe they're having a Thurs game in week 2.

Will probably get great ratings but it's a hardship for the teams.

On February 3, 2012, commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the number of Thursday night games on the NFL Network will increase from eight to 13 games from weeks 2 through 15, excluding Week 12 (the Thanksgiving night game will now air on NBC). This will ensure that every team will have at least one prime time game.

Jeezus fellas....Tannehill IS a rookie, AND he did play his very first game against the NFL's 2nd ranked defense from last year that is only getting better. Gotta give the kid some time and experience before throwing him under the bus....

It's one thing to excuse his game to being his first and against a good defense but I literally saw nothing to be excited about at all. Not one throw where I said wow...we may have something here. Zero. He followed receivers all over the field with his eyes and checked down more than Henne ever did. It was demoralizing to any dolphins fan who watched. My slim hope he pans out has been downgraded to a sliver.

Too bad that the Seahawks didnt score at the end there against the Cards. These turds did need to be exposed. Goodell's kids are a miserable joke and its too damn bad that we may be stuck with these assholes for another week.

Damn, that was a catchable ball. I thought Wilson did fine in his debut, nothing spectacular like the day RG3 had but very respectable. He seems to handle the pressure rather well and should get only better. A lot of penalties called in this game, a pity because it was a good tough divisional match up. Looks like K. Kolb may get his starting job again after Skelton's injury.

Wonder if Denver fans still miss Timmy. :)

My prediction as soon as he was signed we're the Broncos would be in the Superbowl.

He's not going to change this team overnight. Stafford kept that game close, not because we are a great team. I wanted a W too, but I love the direction this team is heading.

Miami is back to being garbage

Falcons win, as they should against KC

and even the Gators won!

I dont expect him to change the team over night.

I just want them to win games like the one yesterday. Win games you that you have two 4th quarter leads in.

Dont be bring that sorry soft ass Prevent D. That Im a scared little girl D when you had them confused the entire game when you played straight up. The defense on the last TWO Lion drives was embarrassing. As bad a defense as you will EVER see. My God it was horrible.

Again I dont expect the playoffs or even 8 wins but dont go blowing games you have won.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to see from the Raiders tonight, and it's totally refreshing.

Not a single corner on the roster was there last year, and most of them are quite pedestrian athletically...but most of them are football players. Philip Wheeler has looked like a stud so far, hitting gaps and blowing up blocks. I haven't seen a LB do that kind of thing for the Raiders since Greg Biekert used to bring it. McFadden has looked explosive and healthy (for now, but ask that question again 10 carries into the evening), and they've kept Marcel Reece under tight wraps. Jacoby Ford is hurt (again), but Denarius Moore seems to be back to form.

I have no clue what's going to happen, but damn if I'm not excited to see it. This is always the best time of year for Raider fans...just before they stink up the joint and I sound like XXXIV. I think this team can easily be 11-5/10-6 if they stay healthy, or 3-13 with 3 or 4 injuries, as they have tissue-paper thin depth.

I figure I'll see some explosive plays from McFadden and Reece used as a matchup nightmare on offense, a couple of picks from Palmer as he overthrows a receiver and leaves them out to dry, the nation going "who is this Rod Streater guy?!?!?!", and a bunch of attacking linemen on defense, followed by miscommunications in the secondary.

I love opening week!

But don't forget that with the exception of SFO, you can advance to the playoffs with a losing record in the NFC West. :?

 Gotta hand it to the Raiders. They find new and inventive ways to lose!

Defense gives up 32 yards rushing, and 1.6 yards per carry...and only 226 through the air. Offensively they put up 300 yards. They had one fumble lost on offense and still managed to find ways to give a game away. If anybody saw that game last night (can't imagine there would be very many), the Pro Bowl long snapper for Oakland got injured and didn't come back in the game. The backup apparently hadn't ever long snapped in his life.

First punt was skipped back on the ground for a turnover on downs.
Second punt he decided not to block, and instead they came right up the gut and blocked Lechler's punt, damn near killing him.
Third punt was skipped along the ground, turnover on downs.
Fourth punt was skipped along the ground, turnover on downs.

Most of this happened in the Raiders own end, and they held the Chargers to FG after FG. With Heyward-Bey the only healthy deep threat at wideout, the Chargers just doubled him up and sat on routes by Hagan and Streater, so the Raiders were left checking down to McFadden or TE Brandon Myers repeatedly. In the end, they lost 22-14 and probably should have lost about 56-14.

What a weird, weird season this will be. Next Sunday should be entertaining...it will be the Toilet Bowl down in Miami. The inept Dolphins vs. a team that doesn't understand the concept of depth. And considering how poorly Oakland always plays in Miami, it should be hilarious.
