Rams 1st team defense was shredded by a rookie QB playing for a team that won two games last year. Yep....gonna be another great season of Rams football!

Good times!
Still only just the first practice of the year...

Away on a business trip so I couldn't respond to this comment until now. You don't think people get hurt in practice Brando? If pre-season games are completely meaningless get rid of them. Just practice for 3 weeks and lets go then. Guys can get hurt in any game or practice at any time.Brando70 wrote:I'm sure the Chargers are happy they played Ryan Matthews in a meaningless game.
At the end of the day I was more upset as to what kind of message it sends to the rest of the league which is basically the Bears are on injury away from a s*** season again. Honestly I don't even think it will take an injury.

Lot of conclusions being drawn after one preseason game.

The Rams may not be very good, but the 1981 Saints were alot worse and they called us the "Aints". The fans showed up to the Superdome en masse with bags on their heads and it was humiliating being part of such a horrible team.MizzouRah wrote:HAHA.. where is the picture of the bag on the Rams fans head.

Re: NFL Season 2012-2013
I don't want to blow out my fingers arguing about a preseason game, but coaches would definitely cut the preseason to two games if the NFL would allow it. I think sitting your star QB, RB, and DE who all have had knee injuries on a wet night at Soldier Field is not a bad idea. The only preseason games that have any significance to players like that are the second and especially third. Those guys playing a couple series during the first preseason game has ZERO impact on their ability to get ready for the season, so why risk it? That first game is for bubble players, rookies, and guys like J'Marcus Webb.Danimal wrote:Away on a business trip so I couldn't respond to this comment until now. Practice is a different story. Players need practice. They don't need four preseason games.

Re: NFL Season 2012-2013
I totally agree, Brando. I was glad none of them played. There are 4 preseason games because of the money involved with the preseason games, not to get players ready for the start of the season. If there was only 2 preseason games those guys would have been out there for a little.

Apparently Philbin's meeting with Chad Johnson will be on Hard Knocks tonight. Appointment viewing.

Much less fireworks than I expected. Johnson was almost whimpering to keep his job. He's much more of a loudmouthed p*ssy, in general, than I expected.dbdynsty25 wrote:Apparently Philbin's meeting with Chad Johnson will be on Hard Knocks tonight. Appointment viewing.
The Dolphins' offensive line coach is hilarious. Can't get enough of him -- or Lauren Tanneyhill.

No surprise there once he missed more than a week. He's got a lot of miles on the odometer and the production plunge is bound to show up soon if it hasn't already started. However, he's also like Peppers in that he can play through almost anything as long as he can move.Danimal wrote:Urlacher scoped and so it begins...

Re: NFL Season 2012-2013
I got a chance to watch the Fins game last night. There was some good and some bad from Tannehill. He did show poise for a rookie against Carolina's 1st D. He made some good throws and some bad ones which is expected for any rookie QB.
But holy hell are the Dolphins a mess. This year doesn't look any better than last year. Tannehill was either sacked or running for his life. The OL sucked and the Dolphins D was swiss cheese, again. Nice to see Vonte's meltdown against Steven Smith.
Absolutely no receivers on the Dolphins right now that could be considered good. I'd take an average Brandon Marshall for the guys who are impersonating themselves as NFL receivers for the Dolphins right now.

My ass!
I listen to Chicago sports radio and it sounds to me that Marshall is a lock for the Hall of fame.
