Interesting. Not a big fan of futuristic fighters, but I'll play through it once or twice just for the graphics alone.

I am deeply skeptical of this game.

I loved Mw1, but as these COD games got increasingly popular they became blander and more mindless.

A near-future setting makes sense for the series, and I understand the theme of the trailer is that you still need tough guys with guns no matter what, but all the mechs and planes and stuff---yuck. The only shooting the trailer showed was from the cockpit of some flying vehicle. The priorities are getting completely lost.

Thank you, Activision, for making my fall shooter decisions for me. No way in hell. That looks...stupid.

I've got fiddy on Teal getting it day of release. It's a shooter. He can't resist, regardless of the stupidity. :)

I'll tag that bet-I've gotten tired of the COD schtick anyway, and I really don't like the angle. I've never been less enthused about a COD game.

Take the bet, get the $50 and then go buy COD with it. ;)

EDIT: I still have MW3 in the shrinkwrap - only bought it because there was a crazy sale going on at a local store here. I will get Black Ops 2 eventually but nowhere near launch day.

Zero interest in this title. Don't have much interest in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier or Sniper Elite V2, either.

The military FPS genre is pretty dead for me on consoles right now. I'd arguably be more stoked if Ubisoft put Ghost Recon: Island Thunder or Ghost Recon 2 on XBLA with HD graphics than any of these new games.

They have to do something revolutionary with the gameplay and/or multiplayer options to get my interest. I already own/have owned most of the COD games, so if it's another been there/done that, I could care less.

Doesn't do much for me, but I am looking forward to Friday and getting my copy of Sniper Elite v2!

GS changed the release day to next week for some reason, so I don't have it yet. Dammit.

True. GR:FS exceeded my expectations. But I'm not getting a COD game unless there's overwhelmingly positive feedback from MANY DSPers.

It's amazing to me how all kinds of crazy gadgets and bombs are such a selling point. Every time I see a new one, I don't think "that will be awesome to use". Instead I weigh its potential for ruining a game.

Totally agree. I love GR:FS, because it doesn't overuse the gadgetry, and it's still pretty much gun-on-gun. But my ultimate shooter will be the one that is simply that: gun-on-gun. No 'noob tubes', no silly perks, no throwing knives...just guns and skills. Such a game would weed out the COD-Red Bull-ADD addled 13 year olds. That's one reason I sure wish that Op:Flashpoint: Red River had a versus MP mode.

Yep. But I've grown to despise COD's "plastic" feel, along with the cheese, so...it made little difference.
