I'm up in the air about kick power. I was concerned with the deep kickoffs, but the NCAA moved the kickoff to the 35, which I think is the root of it.

I will be curious to see what teams do in real life this year. They also moved the spot on a touchback on a kickoff to the 25 yard line, which makes running it out a bigger gamble. But with the 25 being the new spot, it might encourage kickers to try an drop kickoffs inside the 5, even if they can kick into the endzone every time.

I also think you need to bump pass coverage to at least 80 on both sides of the ball. It does help eliminate the easy bombs, but you can still hit them.
I completely forgot about the new rules and my kicker has a 94 kick power, so I might bump it back to default (50) again or at least (45). Thanks for the reminder. On 50 though, I was putting them almost all the way out of the back of the end zone - in the rain. 45 might be the perfect setting.

I'd be careful about assuming that. With the new passing system you'll be able to make throws you never could which will lead you to try and put balls into places you shouldn't. So yeah you'll not see the super jump LB interceptions but you'll see the go up and take it away interceptions (and receptions). I swear I saw one in a game just a little bit ago that was so real I tried to hit my streaking slot guy who had a few steps but he was much smaller then the SS who closed on the ball went up over him and took it away.

I've settled in with a good set of AA sliders I've worked out. Every game is it's own story line right now which is a good thing.
Yeah, I'm sure my mood will change after my next game vs Georgia.

This catch was just out of reach and it looked so cool I grabbed a videeo

Here is a pivotal interception off a big hit. My backup is in the game and we're trying desperately to get anything going.

I played a game at Boise State and didn't see any slowdown or framerate choppiness. When did EA add the second camera? I pushed down by accident the left thumb stick and the field of play dropped down. I kind of like that look. :)

I believe you lock into the player you control by pressing the left stick, which changes the camera angle.

#5 Georgia goes down to Mizzou 24-7

Passing is just so much different this year. If you get time to pass, you can shred a defense, especially if the CB isn't turning his head.

I love it that the icon goes away if a WR isn't looking at you.

I had a beautiful TD where I led the WR with a perfect pass right over the safety's head.

Since we're sharing, here's my favorite replay so far. Love the camera work as my receiver beats the CB off the line. This was a game winning TD for me as Pitt over Rutgers.

Holy Smokes!

I escape with a 23-22 win over ASU.. what a game that was. I threw 2 INT's (there ya go pk ;)) and even had a safety called against me. Up next is #5 South Carolina.. this SEC schedule is BRUTAL!!!

After 3 games, I'm really digging the game though, it's definitely better than 2012.

I really suck at this game..

I lost 2 games so far in my UGA Dynasty.... back to back games to USCe and UT... My offense SUCKED in both games. I almost came back to win against USC but didn't.

Then I played UK and I was down 17-0 late in the 3rd and managed to get 3 long drives to win the game and my defense held.

I then played Florida and I never trailed. I also don't think I turned the ball over but maybe once.

Passing is really hard to be.. but then again maybe I just stink. I will complete 8 passes in a row then throw 3 ints in my next 5 attempts. Sometimes I have almost as many INTs as I do INCs.

I also started the Heisman mode last night with you know who (H. Walker).. and its a lot of fun. Slowing the game down really makes it easier to run the ball. I think one game I was given the ball 30+ times which is nuts.... I already broke his single game record for yards and I am on pace to shatter his single season UGA rushing TD record, attempts record and yard records.. all in my first season. I did bump up the level to AA.

Do you unlock uniforms or something when you win the Heisman or something in this level?

I think you unlock the Nike Pro Combat uniforms by playing the demo--no idea how else you would.

How is conference re-alignment handled in this game? Is it the same as '12? Are you able to completely delete conferences this year?

I really liked last year's game and will likely get this at some point. I am just having too much fun with my MLB 2K12 season right now to think about football.

I'm pretty sure that, if nothing else, the game has custom conferences options.

Community rosters are out at OS for the 360 and PS3. Impressive work.

I've had pasta padres roster for a while now. I uploaded them so anyone can get them from my gt. I'm pretty sure his are just names with no edits or created players or anything. I know they work for online games.

Is there a consensus on which community rosters are best for offline play?

The OS Community rosters. Most accurate, most detailed, includes the most freshman. Features of the OS Community rosters:

All players are named
All players have their correct skin color
All players who can have their # do (No duplicate fix this year)
All transfers/incoming freshman have been added
All players with dreads have been given dreads
All coaches have been named
Equipment overhaul on most players
All players should have mid socks
All offensive lineman have knee braces
No Quarterbacks with Skill player face mask
THESE ROSTERS ARE FOR DYNASTY PLAY ONLY!!! They are not compatible with online play.

Pastapadre's are solid for online play, as Zep said.

Greatest game EVER.. wow.

What a game I just had vs #5 South Carolina. Down 31-7 at halftime, I figured it would be a blow out when all was said and done.

We outscore SC 28-0 in the second half and my CB jumps to deflect a would be game winning TD by SC on a 4th and 4 on our 8 yard line.

A FANTASTIC game.. TJ Moe returned a 70 yard punt and this 80 yard TD catch to put us in the lead for good late in the 4th quarter.

I'm almost committing a southern heresy here, but I actually think I'm going to pass on NCAA this year and pick up Madden instead. The new physics/collision engine in Madden looks fantastic. Don't know what it is, as I'm usually first in line for NCAA year after year, but...well, y'know, that may just be the reason: I get NCAA every year-EVERY YEAR. Might wind up getting it anyway, but I'm leaning toward Madden first. Who knows. I like the feel of NCAA this year, but there's something that seems as if Madden might be 'meatier' than previous iterations. I guess we'll see...

There is no point in me even commenting on the gameplay since my game doesn't even work. I just got the game on Thursday and started a dynasty yesterday. My first two games I played each had a couple of plays where the game would pause for a second or two right in the middle of a play, long enough that I thought the game was going to freeze. My third dynasty game completely locked up at halftime, right when the college scoreboard cutscene was starting. After an overnight cooldown period (I have zero patience for game freezes and was livid) I deleted my game install this morning, re-installed it to the hard drive, then played the third game over without any issue. Now I'm trying to play my fourth game of the season and it won't even load. I can boot the game to the main menu, load my dynasty, then start the loading process for my weekly game, but it freezes every single time while it is loading the game. I've powered down my system and restarted it three times now with the same freeze happening at the same time every single time. It is one thing to release a buggy beta version of a game, it is another thing to release a game that I can't even play. I've never had this issue with any other games either, my 360 is only 8 months old and has never given me the slightest problem before this game. I went over to OS and found out I'm not the only one having these problems, there is already a 31 page thread filled with posts bitching about the game freezing. Nice quality control EA!

That sucks Hipe, EA needs to seriously figure out why their games are freezing so much and fix it. I loved their last college basketball game but franchise mode was unplayable with constant freezes and no support from them to fix it so I had to get rid of it. Hoping the upcoming Madden and NHL games don't have problems.
