Haslem and Pittman should both be suspended for at least one game. I think Hansborough got the right flagrant 1 call, as he did appear to be attempting to stop Wade's shot. Haslem and Pittman clearly were trying to injure other players. I also don't know how those were not called flagrant 2s on the court.

Haslem got suspended 1 game and Pittman 3. Surprised Pittman got off so easily.

Heat are gonna be REALLY damn small tomorrow night. Wow. Didn't think Haslem would get suspended, but yeah, Pittman got off really easy.

I guess the question now becomes...can a young upstart win a game 7 in the garden? I don't like your chances.

Depends on whether the Celtics take their Viagra. They looked very old and creaky last night. Boston should win but Philly's D will probably make it close.

Insane game from Wade. Once he hit that floating bank off the top of the backboard, I knew it was game over. Now it's just time to see if Miami gets the young or old speed bump on the way to the finals.

Again, if it's the Celtics and the Heat are without the boshtrich for all or part of the series, it's gonna be a dogfight. The Heat always have trouble with the Celtics and it could get pretty ugly if they go to war. If it's the Sixers, you're right...young speed bump.

These playoffs have been pretty fantastic overall. Lots of young upstart teams playing well and making it at least a little interesting. Most thought the Pacers would get absolutely demolished and for the most part they made it a damn good series. Props to them and a few of the other young teams like the Sixers.

I don't think the Celtics are going to do much if they advance. They handled the Heat in the regular season, but Miami looked very strong in coming back from that terrible game 3, while Boston looks like everyone's grandpa after too much Thanksgiving turkey. Maybe they will perk up with a chance to reach the finals.

It's almost like you're only taking their last game into consideration when talking about the Celtics. I absolutely despise the Celtics, but I seriously wouldn't be surprised if we see the all-geriatric final with the Spurs and the Celtics. I think the Thunder and Heat will win, but I absolutely would not be shocked if that was the outcome.

I just think Boston has looked too up and down all season to be taken seriously. They are struggling to put away a Sixers team that has more spunk than talent. They seem less focused and more tired than in year's past. I think the pace of the season has caught up with them.

I do think they could be rejuvenated if they get into the conference finals, because they are talented and obviously more experienced than any other team left. Rivers can coach circles around Olestra, too, and you never know when LeBron is going to get his period. But aside from a bad game 3 at Indiana, I think the Heat have looked like a team that can handle any Eastern challengers pretty easily, even without Bosh.

Watching this Celtics/Sixers series has made the D Rose injury that much more difficult. I have no doubt it would have been Heat/Bulls if he hadn't gotten hurt.

Losing Bradley for the rest of the year is a HUGE blow. Their best defender and seemed to be the only guy that can create his own shot. I didn't know he was gonna be gone indefinitely, and unfortunately for Boston, that just might be the last straw. It's one thing if Jesus Shuttlesworth is injured, but couple that with Bradley, and they are really in trouble going forward. Yes, they look old, but a few big games from Pierce and Garnett and they can put the fear in Miami. We'll see if that happens, but I'd imagine it'll still be a good series, especially if Bosh misses any time in the series. Assuming Boston gets there of course. ;)

Maul them? There's just something about a Celtics/Heat series that makes me think it's going 7. The Celtics just matchup really well with the Heat and they have always given them hell...so I expect it to be a pretty good series...especially if Bosh misses most of it. Yes, the Heat will ultimately win most likely, but I don't think it's gonna be a sweep or anything.

Well the refs certainly didn't make that game very entertaining from a competition standpoint. Yes, the Celtics have zero answer to Lebron and Wade especially with Bradley done for the season, but as well as the Heat shot paired with the horrendous officiating, they really should have won by 50 or so. I was shocked that the Celtics kept it as close as they did through three quarters so hopefully with a little better officiating, we should see a better game in Game 2, but we will see. The Celtics need to get healthy and fast or it's gonna be over quick as much as it goes against my better judgement and opinion. :)

I guess abusing the elderly isn't a crime in Miami.

The Celtics can definitely let a bad loss roll off them, but I don't see how they are going to suddenly morph into the '08 Celtics again.

Who could be surprised that the older team loss game one 48 hours after winning a game 7?

Old or young, the FT shooting for the Celts was horrendous. No excuse for that.

Ray Allen 7-3 from the foul line? Ugh...

Still, the Heat are supposed to win at their place. Call me when someone loses at home.

I guess the spurs and thunder aren't interested in playing much defense. Westbrook basically threw the game away with his wreckless approach. What a mess he was in the fourth tonight.

San Antonio is just clearly the best team in the NBA right now, and it's not even really close. The Thunder were playing well coming into this series but the Spurs are not missing a beat.

I'm curious to see how the Celtics respond. Shaq made a good point yesterday that Boston tends to come back strong after they have a loss like they did in game 1.

The Thunder had San Antonio beat in Game 1 in their house...but somehow cracked. So I don't think it's that clear cut. Last night, yeah...they took it to em and any time the Thunder got close the Spurs choked em out. Couple that with Westbrook throwing the game away, and its tough for the Thunder to win. Scotty Brooks made a huge coaching error as well...giving Derek Fisher anything more than 3 minutes of burn is a mistake, and for some reason he thought it would be a good idea to have him out there in crunch time to miss a bunch of open threes and get a few blocking calls when his slow ass was trying to take charges. HUGE tactical error when the game was within 5-8 points in the 4th.
