Knicks should have never made that trade for Melo last year. 14 months later and they look like such s***.

The Melo trade was fine. It's giving Amare 5 years guaranteed that is going to kill them. That's the entire reason the Suns didn't resign him...because they couldn't get his knees insured. That 17-18 mil a year is gonna hurt for the next three years.

Bingo. No team will touch Amare due to his knee and back injuries and fat contract. He's a boat anchor on future progress for the Knicks.

Melo carried the Knicks into the playoffs this season down the stretch when Amare and Lin were hurt. Melo and Chandler are the two best players on the Knicks, hands down.

Game 2 against the Sixers was hard to watch as a Bulls fan. I couldn't believe how quickly they crumbled in the second half. Doug Collins really made great adjustments at halftime, the Sixers played great D, and they seemed to make almost everything they shot, no matter how much the Bulls contested.

That is the way the Sixers played the first 25 games of the season. They can be scary when they play D and get out on the break. They are deep. I don't know if they can muster enough to win the series but its fun watching. I love Thad Young. Doug Collins is the best thing to happen to the Sixers in a LONG time.

Utterly depressing end to the Bulls season. The whole team, including Thibideau, performed terribly after the Rose injury, and who knows when D Rose will be back or in what shape. Awful.

Agreed. Obviously losing Rose and Noah hurt them massively but I'll take the series win. Some of you guys whose team's are recent playoff veterans won't relate to this but the last few seconds of last nights game were super exciting for Sixers fans. I was glad Iggy got a chance to seal the deal. I was expecting Iggy to miss one, make one and then lose in OT but he stepped up. My Sixers needed that series as a confirmation of their hard work to get back to respectable status in the league. I have said it before and I'll say it again, I love Doug Collins. I really believe the Sixers can take out the Celts. If they can do that and get to the conference finals I'll be happier than a puppy with two peckers .

Philly played great defense and Collins has done a tremendous job with that team, but they also look like a team that may win two series by the more talented team giving the series away. Boston really screwed up the end of that game last night and were lucky to win game one. No question that the Sixers are on the rise, I'd be very excited if I was a fan.

The Heat may still make the finals without Bosh, but I don't see them winning the whole thing without him. The Thunder really look like the team to beat at this point.

OKC does look awesome. The buffoon we know as Charles Barkley picked the Lakers to win that series.

As far as the Sixers, the Bulls didn't give that series away (IMO) The Sixers were the better team once Rose and Noah went down. They won the series. Also, the Sixers gave away game one in Boston so last night was a wash. I'm just enjoying the ride.

Lebron is probably the worst 3 time MVP closer of all time. He just doesn't want the ball. It's completely bizarre. And it's tough to win when you have three legit NBA guys and one is hurt. Which is what I said...barring injury, they won't be beat in the East, even with Lebron. When they get hurt, they are in TROUBLE.

Now Lebron is whining about playing PF. Is there any worse 3x MVP ever? Like Magic/Michael/Larry would EVER complain about anything. Give em the ball and get the F out of the way. Lebron is playing hot potato w/ frickin' Battier at the end of the game because he's too much of a p***y to shoot. So frustrating as an NBA fan.

Whoa...I'm not sure I'd go that far because of all of the things that Lebron can do on the court, but I see your point.

Whoa...I'm not sure I'd go that far because of all of the things that Lebron can do on the court, but I see your point.

I'll put it this way -- between Wade and some of the other players, they can probably replace more of LeBron's production than Bosh's. They need all three of those guys, but Bosh hits them at their thinnest position. They are screwed if any of the three get hurt, but if BronBron doesn't want to play the 4, they take a particularly big hit up front.

Mike Miller was a pretty good scorer but now, he's just spacing the floor so that the stars don't get trapped. So he's passive, only shooting when the ball is kicked out to him. He used to put up 40 plus and you don't do that only by catching and shooting.

But actually even without Bosh's injury, Pacers hung tough in the first game too. Besides Hibbert, who's turned out much better than projected coming out of Georgetown (where he was a big lump and less fit and active), they have a good mix of forwards and Hill's a bargain for them providing scoring capability that their backcourt lacked.

I wouldn't say the playoffs are wide open but the underdogs have been pretty competitive so far.

Pacers are a tough team. They lack "the guy" that good playoff teams need, but they have talent and play well together as a unit. They are like Philly with a better offense. The Sixers have hung tough because they play excellent defense and Collins has done a great job maximizing their production.

The Pacers can capitalize better on the loss of Bosh than most teams because of Hibbert. Miami now has no answer for him, and so the Pacers are doing this to the Heat:

Oh dear god...the Suns better not offer Lin a contract (which may be matched by NYK of course) this offseason. Rumors are starting to swirl. I'd much rather have Goran Dragic back. Please.
