King Lundqvist has been amazing tonight. Despite Girardi's gaffes tonight, he's being rock solid for NY especially when his team looked tired in the 2nd. Tight game going into the third when Henrik, Henrik put in a show.

Tough situation on the Doan call not much he can do on that.
Mike Smith is pissing me off hes an actor he takes cheap shots any chance he can and now that potential season ending slash on Brown just brutal so take that Phoenix you and your Stupid chin mouth coach can go f*** your self, still some powerplay left to start the 3rd.

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
Complete chicken s*** performance by Phoenix tonight. What a bunch of clowns and tools. LA is completely outclassing the Yotes. Smith is a disgrace and Hanzal will hopefully get a suspension for his dangerous hit on Brown.
Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
LA is just in a class of their own right now, doing to the Coyotes what they did to Nashville and St. Louis. Phoenix is just out there taking cheap shots now.

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
Yotes look totally disheartened at ths point. Kings are just too strong and big for their D. Hanzal should be suspended, I didn't find Doan's hit dirty as the other dude just turn away last minute and put himself in a vulnerable position.
Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
Agreed regarding Doan and Hanzal. Hanzal should get a couple of games, but I wouldn't give Doan anything based on the turn.10spro wrote:Yotes look totally disheartened at ths point. Yup, Doan's hit shouldn't get a suspension and probably should have been 4 min double minor at most. Hanzel's hit was dirty and will get a suspension. Smith's slash could even be suspend-able but the league won't go there. Amazing that the ref called a dive on Brown. He could barely stand up.Naples39 wrote:Agreed regarding Doan and Hanzal. And then there was Morris' Knee on Scuderi. That may have been as dirty as any of the other hits.

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
The Kings are ruling the West because of the former Oilers on the team: Penner, Stoll and Greene.

Seriously, LA looks like a steamroller.

Hanzal will miss a game for his boarding on Brown.
Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
A lot of uncalled cheap shots tonight as the series heats up between the Devils and Rangers. Rupp taking a shot at Brodeur, Staal's whack at Elias, Gaborik elbowing Zidlicky's head which should get a call from the sheriff and of course no love lost between both coaches. Series is tied at 2 now and surprisingly NJ looks stronger to me at this point.

I loved it when Pierre McGuire hit the mute button on his microphone during the over-the-boards argument between DeBoer and Torts, saying the discussion centered around "their family origin."

Big mistake by Pedro. He just should have swang his mic left and right for all the audience to hear instead.pk500 wrote:I loved it when Pierre McGuire hit the mute button on his microphone during the over-the-boards argument between DeBoer and Torts, saying the discussion centered around "their family origin."

Great game going tonight into the 3rd, Coyotes catch a break with the period ending Kings where rolling again.
Im going to have a cardiac arrest if this carries on.

Hope you're still alive when this game goes into OT the way both teams are playing. Not much room out there in the 3rd.Jimmydeicide wrote:No the stupid bald bastard should of backed out of the way like Healy did, attention whore.

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
Oh Im alive alright WOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!
So what you guys think of the knee? Im glad it was won quick as the incident doesnt really effect the out come in the end.
I wonder in the conversation between Hanzal and Brown in the line at the end if Brown asked him if he forgot about his boarding call 2 games ago and then Doan had a go, another player who can look in the mirror ... In his country club bathroom
Lots of missed and blown calls both ways tonight but a great game all in all pity you lot where counting z's only Me, 10's and LA could stay up
Moving on!!! A week to rest lets hope the other 2 beat them selves to death.

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
That knee was no big deal...had Hanzal not peeled off, he would have just gotten decked straight up, but since he was peeling off, Brown didn't get all of him resulting in the glancing blow. I'm sure once the Coyotes look at the replay they'll notice that there wasn't any malice intended...at least from what I saw of the 8 thousand replays they showed.
Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
Although the outcome of the series was inevitable, while not necessarily dirty, a penalty should have been called on Brown, especially when the play was already offside. Tough way for the Yotes to go, I understand Doan's frustration but a heck of a run for them. Doughty should have received a 10 minutes misconduct for behaving like a 5 year old when he was called for holding, but the real stars for the Kings tonight were Scuderi and Mitchell, Kopitar was the MVP of the series and Quick continues to shine. Killing the 5 on 3 was crucial for them.
Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
Did someone say Kings in 5?

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
Brown always plays on the edge. But he didn't cross it last night with that hit.
The Kings' love is nice, but they better hope the Rangers and Devils kill each other to win in seven. The Kings have faced a FAR easier path to the Final than either the Rangers or Devils. So either the Rangers or Devils either will be beat up and shot for the Final or battle-hardened and whip the Kings.
Sorry, but beating a Sedin-less Canucks, paper tiger Blues and scrappy-but-talent limited Coyotes is not exactly Murderers' Row. The price of poker will climb, big-time, for the Kings in the Final regardless of whether they play the Rangers or Devils.

If the Rangers win tonight, Bettman will be creaming his pants in anticipation of LA-NY finals.
NJ-NY still seems like a toss-up to me though.

I don't know if that will help or not. Evidently the NJ-NY series is averaging a 1.3 rating and the Kings-Coyotes 0.8. Wouldn't you rather want a Canadian team in there to draw those viewers?Naples39 wrote:If the Rangers win tonight, Bettman will be creaming his pants in anticipation of LA-NY finals.

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
I'll take the Kings over either of those two teams. They aren't just beating those teams, they are dominating them. I guess one could argue the last two games the Kings player weren't dominating, but they have lost what, a total of two games so far in the playoffs?pk500 wrote:Brown always plays on the edge. The Eastern conference doesn't scare me at all.

Re: Hockey Night in DSP-Season 2011-12
And there is that east coast bias we all love coming from PK. I guess thats why they play the games eh? It will be a small adjustment game plan wise but if the Kings play the way they have been i like their chances and dont give me any crap about they have beaten themselves up that goes both ways.
When you get this deep you cant have anyone strolling and both those teams have Gaborik and a Kovulchuk a superstar that plays when he feels like it.
Should be real interesting to see how it plays out, would be nice to see Torts jarring with Sutter across Pierre mcguire.
On a side note i hope the call goes to Shrader and panger over professor pat pending doc the screach.

In case you've forgotten, my dearest James: My favorite team since 1982 has been the Edmonton Oilers. They've played in the Western Conference since 1979.Jimmydeicide wrote:And there is that east coast bias we all love coming from PK.
No way Emrick doesn't call play-by-play for NBC. My mute button awaits.
