It's playoffs day. Last year, I expected big things from the 'Nuckers and they were short by a game to win it all. Although they won the President's trophy again, for some reason I don't have the same confidence going into this years' playoffs. Maybe because their PP has been MIA, maybe because the Kesler line is still looking for the 3rd party, but the series with the Kings will be a tight scoring affair.

LA was the second stingiest D in the league, they probably won the most 1-0, and 2-1 games during the regular season and Jonathan Quick is the real deal. Entertainment value, I would have preferred to face the Sharks as I am not expecting a free flowing series with the Kings.

I have VAN in 6 for this series but they better improve their PP when the chances are there and hopefully D. Sedin can get back in time to help special teams. He's day to day after his concussion.

Another game that I will be watching will be the battle of Penn. It will be a blood bath and hopefully the series ends in 7 games.

I pick the Penguins to win it all this year.

I LOVE PLAYOFF HOCKEY! Can't wait for the Flyers Pens series!

10spro, just be sure the citizens of Vancouver don't destroy the city again...win lose or draw.

I am bugging out for the Flyers-Pens tonight. I know the Pens are the favorites, but the Flyers will not make it easy for them.

I really can't stand anything about the Pens right now, which makes great viewing!

I also briefly wrote the things I will be looking for in the series from the Flyers on my blog today for those interested.

A lot of people rave about the NcAA Tournment being the best event of the year but, for my money, you cannot beat the drama, excitement, sheer heart pulsing nirvana of playoff hockey. I can't help but think of Keith Primeau's 5 OT winner against Pittsburgh in 2000. I'll never forget that night (early morning).

That was just sooo disappointing to see. In fairness a few of those a$$holes are in jail now as the City is still hunting for some of the trouble makers. Maybe because of the riot last season, there's a certain confident calmness in general from what I can experience in the streets. Of course there's that excitement for the postseason, but again personally I am not expecting as much this year which is strange to say considering how well they've performed again. Winning the President's trophy again is no small feat, but we all know which silver they rather choose.

As for your Flyers, if Bryzgalov stands on his head in this series I don't see why they would not upset the Pens, I'll be watching this war for sure.

Oh c'mon Diablo. Only game 1, but #87 does look good and he says he hasn't reached his peak condition yet. Now, that's a scary thought.

No Diablo is right, the flyers always do this. They've only held the lead at them 10 minute mark 4 times in their last 55 games. Since March 1 they've been out scored 10-2 in the opening 10 minutes.

No doubt Crosby looks good. I'm not a Crosby hater...he's great for hockey. But, as Naples just stated, and as we Flyer fans have seen over and over and over again are slow starts. It's ludicrous.

Philly's goal shouldn't have counted. A bit offside it looks like, lol. Pretty obvious call blown.

Pens 3rd goal shouldn't counted either. Should've been icing. A wash.

Two separate games so far. The first 10 minutes of the 1st and then the rest of the game.

Now that PP looked really good. A lot of pressure and hunger for the puck. Now Diablo, as I was saying and the game will probably go into OT. It's not how you start in a game but how you finish it. Flyers looked good in the 3rd.

If it does go to OT thank god it's the playoffs and shootouts are out the window. Although the Flyers have been better recently in shootouts, overall, they have been less than stellar. I'm being kind.
