I struggled at Els today. I found the round deceivingly difficult and while my FIR's were ok, I struggled in the sand mightinly. Putting wasn't any better and finished with a +8. Yesterday was the short game, today was the sand, just as in real life, there's always something each round. I think you guys Divot and PK did very well.

3 putt on 1 for bogey. 3 putt on 17 for bogey. Missed several realistic birdie opportunities putts and settled for par. First time playing the course, in the words of Timmy Tebow. I really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun.

Ugh, +4 on the daily. Nothing like 5 putting the second hole to get the round started. I hit 93% of fairways and was -3 on the back 9 though, just couldn't get my approaches anywhere near the hole early on. Oh well.

It's a great sign about this game though, that so many of us find our rounds in this game so interesting as to post recaps!

I had a good round at the daily today. I left a bogey out there and a straight on birdie that I hit too hard and bounced of the back of the cup.

Ugh- was at 3 or 4 under going into hole 15 on the daily after having a bad first 7 holes and being +2. Proceeded to put two tee shots into the water on 15 determined to get over that little cut of water. Ended up finishing -1 for the round. I love this game.

I shot a 3 under 69 at The Els in the Daily. I thought the door closed at 10 pm tonight. I was happy to see I had time to get it in Very solid round with just a few mistakes. I chipped in for eagle on #15 or 16. That was a big boost for me. Damn how long is that 18th hole! Another great round Ortho.

Likely my worst round of golf on a video game ever. +28 at Els. I scored par on the final 3 holes once I finally got my swing in order. Before that though, I was only driving the ball 150 yards and coming up short on all the fairways. Realized that I was pausing too much at the top of my swing. Ugh! Tournament difficulty is difficult!!

Starting to get a good feel for the putting though, but as someone else said, those 20 to 40 yard shots are no fun!!

A no-drama par for me tonight on Els. Never up or down more than 2.

Quick greens that I could never quite figure kept me from making those medium birdies, but only 1 real disaster hole.

Need to practice on the fast greens more. Heading to the Masters in my career now, so that should help.

Man, that was a fun round at Els. Had a hell of a comeback over the last 6 holes or so, coming back from +4 to end the round at -1. I definitely need to power up my golfer though, it is a pain in the ass trying to roll the ball onto the green on par 3s!

I just finished the most rewarding round of golf in a video game that I can remember having in a very long time. Shot a -2 on the XBL Daily Tournament at Blackwolf Run and currently sit atop the leaderboard with a 1 stroke lead. Settings are on tournament difficulty, extremely high winds, no aids of any sort to include no putting grid on the greens. I was -5 after 12 holes but went bogey, triple bogey on holes 13 and 14. Fortunately I was able to regroup and finish strong. I had to do a lot of scrambling around the greens to keep it together. Man, what an experience that was.

Every time I play this game I am just amazed at how well it does at replicating the game of golf.

After my terrible round on Els, I started my career and shot a -6 on the Tournament skill level at Crooked Stick (First Amateur Tourney). I feel better now, and have a much better feel for all of the clubs. Can't wait to start competing better with you all!

Holy crap it's hard to use no meters. At least at first it was. Today's daily was the first time I had played with my CAG so he had default attributes and without any meters it was really tough for me to get going. Was like plus 5 after the first couple of holes and played fairly even the rest of the way. It should be a little easier now that I kind of figured out the gist of playing without meters. Wow that was jarring at first.

This year is the first time I'm really playing with my created golfer and building him up is very fun/rewarding. I'm finally in the 50's with most attributes. I can't wait to get to an elite level. I'm also having a ton of fun getting to know the courses. The Els had some LONG ASS holes. Black Wolf did too. Every tournament is a little different. I'm really looking forward to our Masters weekly starting tomorrow. I can't wait to see how I do against the elite guys in our club . I would LOVE to go under for the tourney. To pull that off would be awesome. I've been playing some practice rounds at Augusta and doing well. Once the pressure of the Major is there I may get the yips...hope not. Can't wait to play the Augusta Par 3 daily tonight.

I'm trying to play the midwest classic in my career, and I have a very important question:

IS THERE A WAY TO SHUT NANTZ AND MCCORD UP??? I'm sick and damned tired of their 'help'. I don't want the damn help, I don't need it, and I can't find anything that says "shut up with the stupid 'suggestions' as if I've never played the damned game before!"

I have never worked so hard at a game, and stayed so crappy.

Every time I play a round, it's like I have a bunch of pars--then a couple of double-bogeys and a bogey or two to come out somewhere like +5 to +8. Once in a while, I'll absolutely butcher a shot and end up shooting like an 8 or 9 on a hole, which blows the round all to hell.

It's still incredibly fun, but I'm stunned at how long I'm staying horrible at the game. I think my power is like 61, other stats are near 40, and putting is 50 I think. Should I still be hitting such horrible scores? I struggle just to get near the pin for a birdie putt, and most of mine are something like 20 feet long. If I mishit that putt in the slightest, I'm left with a par putt that I have the chance of completely blowing, and I can't seem to find any consistency--other than consistently sucking.

Finished at -3 on Crooked Stick in career...and wound up just turning commentary off completely. Their incessant assistance was getting on my nerves. -3 is great, but I know that my next round could very well be +12. That's what I'm loving about this game.

I hear you Terry. I have a good round then come back and fire a +6 or +8. I'm usually going along at even par then I double bogey a hole, then another and the wheels fall off.

I almost threw the controller when I was on the green in 2 yesterday on a par 5 and then double bogeyed the hole. I haven't cracked an under par round in any of the OCC events, I have offline but not online.

Today should be fun a par 3 course in prep for the Master tomorrow.

Thanks man. Not that I expected to win, but Oblong posted a -8 overnight. That dude is crazy in these daily tournaments. I think he's also the overall leader in money won on XBL.
