I had never messed with TWOnline before, so I logged in yesterday while watching the Grand Am race. It's pretty slick, although much easier than TW13. Still it's a fun game of golf. So how is the cross play supposed to work?

I actually think that the caddy on/putting grid off is a nice change of pace from the grid always being on. Like 10s said, the caddy's placement is not always reliable. Between the caddy's recommendation and scoping out the green myself, though, I don't find that combo to be much tougher than grids on/caddy off.
Yeah, the caddie has been off for the dailies. Maybe it was on for the weekly by mistake? I have found the grid off/caddy on to be kind of fun though.
But I've got the CE. Yet I can't find anywhere in game to buy this course pack? I see Boost Packs, pin packs, course pin crap--but this interface is so convoluted to me this year.
Where the hell is this in-game DLC location? I have the Season Ticket so I'd like to take advantage of it, but I'm either blind or a complete moron (or both).

The menu does need improving, it's like they want to jam everything in different places. If I remember correctly, you go under game modes, click on play and you'll be presented with a bunch of courses. The option to buy the DLC should be there and I think it comes up to around 2500 coins if you got the EA season pass.
So I moved the game from my little gaming tv to our main tv as my wife and 2 of my kids are gone for the afternoon. My 9yo wanted to give this a try so we played.
As bad as I am with the controller...but getting better as I shot a +5 last night...I was far worse playing with him with the meters on. Trying to use the meter killed any feel I had with short game and putting.

I'd be up for it, but my only night off is Wednesday. My 72 hour works weeks *should* end on the 9th though. Then I'll be back to 36/48 hour cycles again. Looking at hour club objectives, we need to have 25 head to head club matches to meet a milestone. It's killing me to only have like an hour and a half a day to play this game right now! A great way to wind down after a 12 hour night shift though
Stupid question time. What does pitching do? Aside from the obvious (pitching the ball), when i select Pitch as my shot type, it doesn't appear to change anything from the normal "stance", like Chipping or Punch shots do........

I think it just sets up a default stance...like puts the ball deeper in your stance. It doesn't adjust the swing power or anything...just gives you a starting point for pitching.

Ya, but that's the thing. The ball position looks the same to me as in a "normal" swing........ unless i'm blind or something.
Ortho, sorry I missed you today. I'll be up for some CC VS matches the next couple of nights before I head out of town again. So whoever wants to play some CC send me a fore.
Anyone getting a random freeze when you start TW? I get by the Kinect screens and when it gets to the TW13 screen where it loads it just freezes on that screen. I have to reboot the console and keep trying.

Guys/Tim - Ironically I started having disk read errors today while trying to finish the weekly (which I got worse each round )...so, my local Gamestop didn't have any CE's to switch one out for me yet, so I withdrew from the CC and will rejoin when I get a new copy if spots open up...so, right now there is one spot for you!
Just turned a horrid front into a superb back in the Daily at Celtic Manor. Shot a +1 (72) after being as bad as +7 on the front. I wish there was a way to view my damn scorecard after the round. I THINK I shot -6 on the back but there is no way to tell...is there?

TW Online is a POS. I stopped playing it a year ago an the game is essentially dead, IMO.

Its not THAT bad. I still much prefer true swing on the mouse than I do the controller or kinect. It's a shame that all of the pc development has pretty much been scrapped. Tho I really do like 13.

No worries Paul. A spot has opened up for me and I will be joining in the morning. Hope you get your game issues sorted soon. Thanks for the note and offer again!

Well, it is the worst PC golf game I have played. Great idea, piss poor execution when you consider how few Golf features are in TWO compared to TW12 or 13. Glad someone thinks it is not that bad. The TWO forum is a ghost town and I have not seen a positive post there in over a year. And game developments ceased months ago and EA is not sure what they are going to do with Tiger in the PC market. If they would just port TW13 to the PC, I would be interested. Lastly, the mouse swing in TWO is a poor version of TW PC's TrueSwing, IMO.
I played 4 rounds at Augusta in my offline career. Finished even par after round 1, +3 after the second round and then fell apart the final two rounds and finished with a +46 for the tournament. 25 mph winds in the third round was brutal.
Today's Daily is at Black Wolf Run. This is a DLC course which I thought was on the CE edition but it's not. Like I said I can't go back and change or delete and event so sorry about that guys. I did find a good resource on what is in the game, CE and DLC so I shouldn't make that mistake again.
This week is masters week and our tournament is scheduled for Thursday start. I thought about having a draw and having people play with a pro golfer but I don't think there are enough golfers in the game to cover that. So we'll go with our CAG's.
On Weds. We'll do our daily at Augusta National's par 3 course.
Tuesdays Daily is at The Els Club.
Thursday is at the PGA National Course this is a CE course or DLC, expect tough conditions.
Friday we're at Whistling Straights again a CE course or better. Expect Expert pins for this one.
All Daily's have an 11am start time.
I'm not scheduling stuff for weekends. I leave that to JC to do.
Weds Night is club night. Starting at 9pm CDT. If you're so inclined meet up in a Live Party and in the Club House. I was thinking we could go out in two's and take on other clubs.
That should cover us for this week. As always suggestions and feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

If a spot opens up I will PM you. Right now we have 1 open spot but a few people ahead of you on the wait list. I've sent the first person a PM to see if they are still interested.
