Yeah Squid you are an A Hole :). I don't think the cell phone headset will work. MS only allows their stuff. Last night was definitely cool. I was just pissed that my connection crapped out at the beginning of the alternate shot (I think) match Dan set up. Oh well. I'm heading in to play the daily.

I need more power, for sure. Using my CAG that hasn't even reached 40 on power or any ratings, I could work the short game (carried a -2 through 12 I think) in the club daily, then double bogeyed a few when I couldn't hit it far enough off the tee to clear a bunker or rough patch early on.

This will be really really fun with some better upgraded CAG golfers, for sure.

how to you use coins to buy dlc courses in game? I see where it says to use coins to buy rounds or whatever, but when I click on it it just says rounds / cost with no other info other than the option to actually buy coins. I'd like to get the last couple real life courses I need at the season pass discount since I messed up on the 11 course pack dlc. :(

for those who had last years how does this years compare other than kinect? A big upgrade or not that different? I enjoyed last years game, but not sure if I should buy this one if it's not that different.

BETTER. The new swing mechanic makes it more than just an upgrade. Get the CE version. The practice facility comes with it.

Just totally choked in the DSP Daily at Sawgrass and shot a +8. No rhythm whatsoever on the front. Three holes destroyed an otherwise solid round. Frustrated.

Some of the scores being put up on the daily tournaments are incredible. I guess not many people near the top are using their CAG. I had an awesome round going today before falling apart on a hole near the end. Crazy how one hole can F up a great round, just like in real life. I used to play TW games very aggressively since I knew I could fairly easily get out of trouble. I'm learning very quickly to play things more conservative in sticky situations.

I've been using my CAG since the retail version dropped. I had 50k pts I got from last years game which helped out some. Workability, spin, recovery are all in the low 40's; everything else is like at 70 or close I think.

I had a double on hole 4 I think that I hit into the water. But made 8 birds, took a couple holes to get used to the quicker greens.

Last night was fun for sure- pinehurst was tough!

Ah, I guess I missed out since I didn't get into 12. My power and putting are in the low 50s, and everything else in the low 40s. Even with those low ratings I don't feel too handcuffed. I've been using my CAG for everything I play, trying to get him built up. Can't wait until my dude has studly ratings. Some dude in my Club set up a tourney at Valhalla. I shot a -18 and was feeling pretty good about that until I realized he set it up with red tees. I knew it was too good to be true, lol.

I'm using a CAG that had <40 on everything and was constantly in position to birdie or par on the Sawgrass daily today.

Distance is about the only thing that can't be overcome with some elbow grease, it seems. I think I actually shoot BETTER without the swing meter. First time I tried it without was today.

Just shot a much improved 4 over 76 in the first round of the weekly tourney at Pebble. I was very happy with the round...especially with no grid on the green. I burned the edge of the cup on 18 to miss birdie. I made some mistakes but overall i made some nice steps forward. Only 4 off the lead :)

I'm wondering if this a bug in this game regarding the course conditions report. Twice I've played rounds where it's raining, the greens and fairways seem slower, but when you hit back and view course conditions it says "average."

just posted a -2 in the daily tourney at Crooked Stick. Took me a few holes to get the greens down and I was at +2 or 3 early in the round. Got to -3, but didn't like my approach angle to the stick on 18 so figured I'd just go for the middle of the green and 2 putt to take my par and call it a day. I left my lag putt about 6 feet away from the cup and rimmed it off the edge and ended up settling for bogey. :(

Fun stuff for sure. Love the OCC tourneys.

Played the first round of the weekly at Pebble. Was at -5 thru 9, but lost it on the second 9 finishing at -2. No grid lines makes you really sweat it out.

I KNOW I do. I'm still very grateful to Jimmy for telling me a week into the demo to ditch the meter. Fantastic advice.

Swinging without the meter forces you to concentrate on good tempo and moving the sticks straight. I'd much rather rely on feel, even with a controller, than a visual cue.

+1 for me at Crooked Stick. Left two putts on the lip, and flubbed one or two other putts. One of those putting nightmares came during a bogey on 18, which was a bummer. Never touched a hazard, though.

You could really aim for the sticks because the rain made the greens so damn soft.

C'mon we need more guys in the weekly. You have 4 days to play 4 rounds. When I shot my round we only had 7. It's good prep because next week we do the Masters and our first major.

Played 2 rounds of the DSP Tournament at Pebble Beach hoping to get all 4 in as I am leaving for vacation today and will be without a 360 for a week. However, this was my first time using my CAG and it was brutal. Two rounds were all I could handle. In reality I would not have made the cut for the weekend anyway. ;) Drives were all over the place and I could not putt. +40 something on my first round. Got new clubs, applied a little more XP and shot +20 something for my second round, so at least I was getting a little better.

During these 2 rounds I experienced what I can only describe as an invisible wall bug. Three different times (twice in round 1, once in round 2). I hit a straight drive off the tee, no trees around or anything, and while the ball is mid-flight it just hits something and immediately drops to the ground. Made one of my drives like 50ft, the others around 100ft. I had two +10 hols on round one because of this invisible wall which I can only assume is some kind of bug. Another weird thing I experienced was on one hole, my CAG who can barely drive for 250 yards with the wind at his back, rockets a drive 326 yards with an 8 MPH head wind and puts it in the ocean. I never came close to a drive of that length any other time in the two rounds and of course it was like a +6 hole after the penalty, etc.

Still having fun while basically shooting the scores I do in real life. Maybe I need to figure out the controller as +60 in two rounds using the Kinect is not going to have me playing for the club championship.

Some questions: Is there no way to view your scorecard hole by hole during a round, or at least after the round is over? Is there anyplace to see your rounds scorecards online? I was hoping to be able to see a round 1 vs round 2 comparison hole by hole. I saw a summary of my results after the round finished, but that is all. There has got to be a way to see your entire scorecard, correct?

+4 after round one of the weekly. Not a lot of pars for this round as I was all over the place. A bunch of birdies, bogeys, doubles, and even had an eagle. When I lose my putter, I REALLY lose my putter.

For whatever reason I find Pebble a tough course for me.

I was doing pretty well at Pebble, but I am always terrified of those cliffs. Sure enough, just barely missed the fairway on 18 and send one into the drink on Round 1 of the weekly tourney.

By the way, when weather is "random", I presume everyone is getting the same conditions and it's not changing player-to-player?

I would assume. Usually I set it to Live feed so you get whatever they have. I tried Random for todays round we'll see what happens.
