I am working on it guys. Got GameFace done and now playing Career Mode. Have played the first Training event in the Amateur Tour 15 times and have yet to beat Justin Rose using Kinect.orthostud23 wrote:C'mon Divot you have to have some impressions on the full version by now!! Dont hold back!
Are you using a cut down club for your Kinect swing now? I know you mentioned a while back you were going to do this eventually. I'm just curious to see what sort of impact that has on the Kinect experience, and perhaps in Tournament difficulty, the performance.DivotMaker wrote:Have played the first Training event in the Amateur Tour 15 times and have yet to beat Justin Rose using Kinect.
Played with and without a cut down club and TBH, I score better without the club. Finally got past the first Training event, then won the Sponsor event and the first tournament. On to the 2nd event with the Training event...lost the first time. Putting the game down for a few hours to rest (Kinect is a workout!) and take in a sneak preview of the Hunger Games....J_Cauthen wrote:Are you using a cut down club for your Kinect swing now? Really? That's a little bit disappointing to hear because I've got something funky going on with my physiology and can't perform too many empty handed swings before I develop a painful hitch in my lower right back. I can swing a golf club all day long without having this problem. It's something about needing that extra mass of a club to help me turn through with my hips. I have the same problem with the Move, which virtually has no mass and certainly isn't golf grip friendly.DivotMaker wrote: Played with and without a cut down club and TBH, I score better without the club.
I take it you're doing this in Tournament difficulty? If so, have you turned the putting grid off? I see that adds .2 to the rewards multiplier. Finally got past the first Training event, then won the Sponsor event and the first tournament. Which is about 45 minutes after I have to leave for workorthostud23 wrote:Friday at around 6pm ESTNaples39 wrote:When does this go up on season ticket? Saturday morning?
No way can I turn grids off at this point. I am going back to TOUR PRO to complete these as they are VERY difficult to win. Another thing I am finding out, do NOT swing too hard or you will either top the ball or if you lower your hands too far in the impact zone you will pop the ball up. Hit the AN Training Facility and groove your swing because it will help alleviate alot of frustration once you start playing.J_Cauthen wrote:Really? Have not touched TrueAim yet as I am coming to grips with the Kinect swing. I have enabled 1st person view and I am getting Presentation cameras for that and they really act like TrueAim cameras in that they sometimes zoom in to the ball landing area, but not enough and too randomly. Getting ready to go back to West Africa on Saturday so I do not know how much more time I will have with the game before I leave, but I will play once I get there as I brought a 360/Kinect with me last time to stay there so I can play when I am out of the country. Kinect is going to take quite some time to master as it stands now in the higher difficulty levels....J_Cauthen wrote:Tim, have you tried playing True-Aim with the pre and post shot animations enabled? I ask because you have to enable them to get a cut-view of the shot's finish in the demo. I wasn't exactly thrilled with the production qualities of the cut-views in the demo when using True-Aim. I was hoping to hear that they've got some camera angles for these cut-views that use more reasonable camera angles and zoom levels to convey the results better.
That's good to know. I know personally I will be playing that mode a lot before I switch back to the controller.DivotMaker wrote: Kinect is going to take quite some time to master as it stands now in the higher difficulty levels....
I don't see myself going back to the controller anytime soon...I am determined to master the Kinect swing...10spro wrote:That's good to know. Yeah this is rediculous. Mine has been running over an hour now - won't go past 45%. Never had a problem in previous versions.10spro wrote:Generating your own mug face takes so damn long. I wished there was just a direct transfer from the previous versions as I do this every year.
Be patient. Mine was also stuck on 45% for about 55 minutes and I was about to restart the game thinking that the game was frozen. After I clicked on B, it asked me whether I wanted to quit so I said NO and now finally it seems to be moving again. Slowly but it does pass over the 45% mark eventually.TheTruth wrote:Yeah this is rediculous. Mine has been running over an hour now - won't go past 45%. Yep, right after I posted it moved to 46%- then it stopped at 65% and stayed there for about 20-25 minutes. Just finished and doesn't look anything like me. Wow. Crazy bad.10spro wrote:Be patient.
