Maybe Jeremy Lin can play QB

Oh nice...now the Dolphins released their best safety. Yeremiah Bell, leading the team in tackles, released for 4.35 million bucks. Ugh.
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Good thing I don't have season tickets or i'd start an Occupy Dolphin Street. What a bunch of morons running that team.

Is Bill Parcells still w/ the dolphins?

Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Gerrard. Ugh. Still better than Tebow I suppose.
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
i guess smith is back on the niners now?
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
No, he'd b*tch slap everyone in the room with all the decisions recently made.Lancer wrote:Is Bill Parcells still w/ the dolphins?

Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Oh and to add insult to injury. The Dolphins are fielding a mediocre team and are right up against the cap. Go figure, only those goofballs running the FO could accomplish that.
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Someone suggested Tebow to the Niners on the tv. I seriously doubt that. I don't think that guy wants to play in San Fran.
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Gotta agree with Joey Porter: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-o ... id-garrard
"Linebacker Joey Porter, who played in Miami from 2007-09, was blunt Monday in his criticism of the organization. "Jeff Ireland has a big part to do with (the situation the Dolphins find themselves)," Porter said during an apperance on Total Access.
"He's a guy that -- I don't think when you come in being recruited by him you really believe the things that are coming out of his mouth. I think he's a guy that's not trustworthy. He's a guy that doesn't really hold up to what a GM is supposed to be. He has the right tools to lead that franchise in the right direction but obviously nobody's buying into it."
Well, this would explain the tweet from Steelers safety Ryan Clark Sunday night when he said "no one" wants to play for the Dolphins.

Anybody follow Incarcerated Bob on twitter? He's a fairly credible rumor source, and was all over Manning to Denver all weekend. Anyway, this morning he says the 3 teams most interested in Tebow are Jags, Vikings and Eagles.

Eagles make sense. Another left-handed, mobile quarterback. Reid wouldn't need to change much of the offense when Ron Mexico inevitably gets hurt.
Big difference, though: Ron can make some routine throws.

I also agree that the Eagles would be the most natural fit for the Teeb. Not a whole has to change in way of the offense. At this point Teeb going to the Jags wouldn't work because they are playing the #1 draft pick and Chad Henne was brought in to back him up.
Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
Maybe the Broncos have some other tricks up their sleeve, but Manning alone won't be enough to get that team to the SB. Poor receivers, an aging McGahee who's coming up on the RB age cliff, and a defense that was very uneven last year. Probably enough to win the AFC West. Highly unlikely to be enough to win in Foxboro, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, or Houston come playoff time.
And I just have to write it: David Gerrard

Well if they have no chance then our Bears have less of a chance.Brando70 wrote:Maybe the Broncos have some other tricks up their sleeve, but Manning alone won't be enough to get that team to the SB. Poor receivers...check I would take Denver over ours.
Star QB.....check Manning is a star Cutler is not.
Uneven defense.... Last I checked that describes the Bears to a tee. Speaking of age it will be interesting to see what Urlacher does this year and if Peppers has enough in the tank to play a full season with good results. I'd trade anyone on our defense for Miller in a second. Denver's uneven defense is what got them to the playoffs with a stiff playing QB the Bears defense couldn't muster up 3 wins when our QB and RB went down.
On paper right now even without knowing Manning's health I would put Denver with a better chance to go to the Superbowl then the Bears as much as I hate saying that.

Now we know why Rod's been quite for a while...he's protesting. Figured he'd get an ORANGE Dolphins Alternate jersey...he's got bad taste.

Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
I thought the Dolphins could do no worse than Rick Spielman or Randy Mueller but boy was I wrong. Jeff Ireland is the worse and it shows in the Dolphins crappy team. And no that's not me but now you gave me an idea.

Re: NFL Season 2011-2012
The worst part about the Dolphins, is they have enough talent to be mediocore. They started out 0-7, figure a lock for Andrew Luck, but no, they start winning games. I'm sure they will be 6-10 or 7-9 again this year. Blowing games that they could win so at the end of the season we can look back and say, "They should be in the playoffs," but in reality, stuck in the middle with a crappy draft pick again.

Eagles snag LB DeMeco Ryan's from Houston for a 4th round pick. Nice pick up. ROY in '06. Did his ACL in 2010 and is fully healed. Supposedly didn't fit into the 3-4 Phillips was running in Houston. He fills a huge need.

Though it's really the same offense for Vick so having Tebow as a backup and fill-in for Vick would make sense.Diablo25 wrote:I'll puke if the Eagles acquire Tebow. He is a BRUTAL QB. And I can see Jax looking at Tebow to get as a way to sell season tickets and maybe even a stadium deal.
