I'd say overall no...just because he is supremely talented, but just from a pain in the ass standpoint, yes. I just would not be surprised if he is killed like Chad Henry...riding in the back of his crazy gf/wife's truck trying to stop her or some crazy ass sh*t like that. So there's always that risk.

Yup stupid for the Dolphins to unload the guy after giving up two 2nd rounders. The guy put up decent numbers although erratic. I do cut him slack for playing with a sub-par Henne although Moore was a much better upgrade.

I'm wondering if the Dolphins thought maybe a suspension could happen if the League thought he was responsible for what happened?

Just that there is a big difference between the Marshall deal and the Jackson signing. It's a pretty low-risk move for the Bears, especially if you look at some of the stiffs they've drafted in the third round during the past 10 years. I would still be glad to have Marshall's talent as a FA, but if they gave him $50 million and half of that guaranteed, my enthusiasm would be tempered considerably. There is no faster way to screw up your franchise than owing money for FA busts you signed to big deals.

Fair enough. Miami is making a habit of it. The only big name free agent in the last, I don't know like 10 years has been Karlos Dansby and he's only going into year 3...so still room for flameout.

Of course, a lot of these players will be asked to restructure or get cut if they suffer a major injury or see a decline in their performance or their teams draft players who look to pan out.

On the CJ deal, didn't the Cards get hamstrung by giving Fitz so much money? They ended up having to trade Boldin and let a lot of their other starters go. Then they gave Colb a big contract but they may dump him, even if they don't get Payton. And they may lose two more starters on the OL this year.

On NFLN, they were saying Peyton will get about $20 million a year. So much for winning. One reason the Colts roster lacked depth may have been that his contract ate up a lot of the cap. If he gets that kind of money with a new team, how many starters will they have to give up?
