My list begins and ends with the Show for the foreseeable future. Madden and Tiger Woods would be nice as well but we havent heard crap about those.

I read somewhere that activision has CoD planned for the fall and I would be shocked if EA doesn't come up with The Madden or TW franchise titles for the Vita. Having said that, NHL is what we need. 8)

Yeah, I'm thinking Road to the Show will be the perfect mode for the Vita.

Also, I've read that regular games also have a quicker flow than the console version. Perhaps the default setting compares more to the "quick play(?)" option on the PS3, where the game skips most walk-ups, cutscenes, etc..

I can't remember the last time I have spent two hours playing a game on a handheld and last night I spent that on Rayman. What a perfect launch game for the system. Beautiful looking and perfect for short sessions if you'd like. The sleep function is a godsend on the portables.

I've spent more time playing Rayman the past few days than any other game on the Vita. I never have been much into the Rayman franchise but am now a fan. The level design is second to none. As you say, it perfect for short sessions, yet fun enough that I have no problem playing for extended periods. Agree about the sleep function. It's one of the reasons I have enjoyed handheld gaming so much the past couple generations -- no boot up, can leave off anywhere in a game without saving, and perfect for pick up and play sessions.

VT4 just shipped today from Lockerz.com :)

Man you guys aren't kidding the players on FIFA 12 look tiny but the game plays great. I turned off BT/3G/Wifi and i'm curious to see if the battery lasts longer. Is there a way to check the battery percentage? I checked settings and there was no battery info.

Change the camera angle when you play to dynamic. Much better.

After toying with the demo for several days I had to pick up FIFA. I am very impressed with it. As a married man with 2 kids and limited gaming time the Vita allows me more time to play console-quality games and that makes me quite happy. This is the handheld I have been waiting for and one that any serious gamer would want to consider.

Is Remote Play w/ the PS3 even enabled on this thing yet? Would a new game like SSX for PS3 be able to be played on it via Remote Play?

Remote play does work but it doesn't work with the PS3 games. Not yet at least, I did try to watch some flicks via remote on the Vita and it works like a charm.

How's the quality of the gameplay and graphics when playing a PSN game over remote play on the Vita? Like how does something like Dead Nation or Everyday Shooter look and feel?

Are the graphics as good over remote play as they would be from a direct Vita port?

As I mentioned, none of my PS3 games worked via remote play on the Vita. Not yet anyhow. And while the handheld is powerful enough to handle cross platform play, I am pretty sure that once this feature is updated in the future, graphics wise should be almost equal to the bigger sister while the framerate on certain games may drop a notch.

I tired VT4 today at BB and yeah it's a natural for the system. It doesn't even play like VT. It plays more like Top Spin which is all the better. Anyway my copy has been shipped so I should have it in a few days.

Wow, it really does work with the Blu-Ray disc version of BlazBlue. How bizarrely random. Of course it lags a bit too much to truly play (even with Image quality on -1), and the screen is chopped off a bit on the sides, but it works. I suppose this proves that any PS3 game could theoretically work. There certainly wasn't any patch that was applied to the ancient Blazblue when I booted it up.

Yeah you wonder if they're happy or disappointed with that figure. Those sales are with a lot of promotions at launch in the US, which they didn't have to do with the PSP. Nintendo not only had to cut the price but also offer deals this past Christmas.

Thing is, iPad 3 could sell 1.2 million in the first week, if they produce that many, at prices starting at $500.

If they really have 70 more games in development, that could keep the momentum going for some period, though in Japan, sales dropped off steeply week after week. But if they have to do Buy 2, get 1 free promos to move those games, like they did for a brand new system, then 3rd party support may dwindle over time.

Regardless of sales the system has about 2-3 years of planned games from the big publishers. What the analyst are trying to get Sony to realize is they did similar things with the Go and it bombed. If Sony wants to really push the platform they need to drop the base price to $169.99 with sales boost from games and accessories.

I was in BB today and a store rep came over and asked me what I thought about the system. I basically said nice device priced too high along with the games. She said she's heard the same thing from other customers. The biggest seller in her store is the $250 WiFi version.

Another non-gaming site that thinks tablets and handheld gaming devices are somehow in competition with each other. People who are not into handheld gaming seem to have very little clue that handheld gamers are looking for full game experiences. It's all well and good that a lot of people own tablets and play cheap games on them, but they are still nowhere on the same level by and large as better dedicated handheld games. No company is going to produce a console-quality blockbuster title and sell it on a tablet or phone for $1.99. I know there are some decent looking games on phones and tablets, but they are still crap compared to games like Resident Evil on the 3DS and Uncharted on the Vita.

I looked back at how the PSP launch was covered and it was much the same stuff coming from the media -- $249.99 is too much money for a handheld; initial launch numbers don't look great; price drop has to happen; people won't buy an expensive handheld; blah blah blah. 72 million units later the PSP cannot be called a flop. I particularly like this quote from the article:
And Apple’s iPad 3 is coming soon. Add to that list the Google Android tablets that are flooding the market with quad core processors and as much as 10 hours of battery life, and you have a very solid portable gaming device that many believe will eliminate the new for PS Vitas and Nintendo 3DS portables in the near future. In fact, GameStop already sells tablets with special controllers. Factor in the streaming or connecting to HD TVs and tablets are emerging as portable gaming devices that could not only eliminate PS Vita, but future consoles.
Yeah, right. Pretty funny and amateurish stuff. The Vita and 3DS will not be eliminated by these "solid portable gaming devices" in the "near future." And the whole console bit is laughable.
