I read that Zambrano went off on one of his teammates when he missed catching the ball. Reyes and Ramirez better catch the ball, that's all i'm saying.

The Marlins think that crazy Ozzie Guillen will keep crazy Zambrano in check since they are best friends. That's like the inmates running the asylum. :)

I think Stephen Ross must feel real good about buying the Dolphins. Both the Heat and Marlins have made the Dolphins irrelevant in Miami which used to be a Dolphins only sports town.

Unless they can lure Jeff Fisher to coach.

I hope the Dolphins don't hire Fisher. I'd rather give Todd Bowles a try or hire a coordinator from the Packers or another successful NFL team. I'll pull a db here. If the Phins hire Fisher they will be more dysfunctional with Ireland and Peterson running the show. Fisher was an ok coach i.e. good but not great. I don't think he's worthy of top dollar.

Fisher + Dolphins = 9 to 10 wins and a early exit from the playoffs. I'd like to see Bowles get the gig.

Looks like the Prince will be playing for the Tigers.

As a Michigan guy I like that added power, not sure how he's gonna get used on a daily basis with Cabrera at first.

The restaurants and grocery stores in the Detroit area must be happy. Fielder's visits will increase their profits by double digits.

I think they'll play Cabrera on 3rd, moving Prince to 1st base.

Add in Jhonny Peralta at SS and you have one of the worst defensive infields imaginable.

Yeah that's gonna be awesome. Who's the first Tiger pitcher to just up and quit as another ball goes bouncing by the ever decreasing range (and increasing waistline) of both Cabrera and Fielder?

Just heard an interview with the Tigers president.. I can't help but wonder if we paid too much for Fielder.. That's a long contract for a single dimension player who doesn't really come across as a player whose body is going to withstand the grind of an MLB season.

There must be some value of fat first baseman that is lost on me. First Ryan Howard will be pulling in $25m/year until he is 37, which seems an egregious overpayment for a 270/30 HR guy who strikes out at a record setting rate, and here Fielder gets $24m until he's 36. At least amongst those 2 deals, I would take the Fielder contract.

I think the Fielder is going to breakdown myth it overblown. . .the fewest games the guy has ever played is 157 and he's played in all but one over the last three seasons.

I think the big issue is he's a guy that is used to playing everyday, so the bigger concern should be how Miguel Cabrera does with his transition back to 3B/LF or DH.

Prince is a gamer and should play up to his contract. . .Cabrera seems to be the guy who is a bit of a head case. . .

Prince will likely not live up to the contract...and Jonah Keri (a writer who go inside Tampa's front office for a while) sums it up well in this piece:
