Sour? OTP is still a blast to play, Be a Pro is improved and you may adjust a few sliders here and there for offline play, but I am enjoying this years version even though our Ice Dragon team has been on hiatus lately.

No I think everyone likes it. I for one enjoy it, but i've been playing the series for 4 years on and it's sometimes the same old same old feeling.

Gameplay is really good this year in EA NHL. Plus if you've never done HUT, I think you'll really enjoy it this year.

And online is pretty fair. Offline modes I've pretty much done the last 4 years so I primarily play online and some HUT (only because HUT is basically the same as last year, but last year I played the hell out of it).

As for 2K10, I have it, it was a good change from Ea's game, but I think it's time to put it on the shelf. I couldn't even sell it for $5 on ebay.

Yeah.. I don't think it's bad by any means, it's just "familiar" and getting a little boring to me because every team plays the same style of hockey.

I think I'll try HUT for awhile and play a season with NHL 2k10 to mix it up.

I stayed up pretty late last night and made a decent amount of slider adjustments to this game and so far, I'm very pleased at how the game is playing now.

Definitely need more games played and I hate sliders, but these seem to work as intended and I had two great games with them last night that finally made the game feel fresh for me.

One note, there is no doubt in my mind that putting the puck size and shadow on "authentic" (more so the puck size) makes the game play different as far as scoring and puck physics go, I don't care what anyone says.

Ok I'm ready! I played several games last night and am starting to get used to the fame again. The opposing AI is very impressive on All star...maybe too tough for me off the bat. I lost all 6 games so far on AS and was able to win on PRO. Seems like a big jump between the 2.

I'm finding "Be a Pro" mode to be surprisingly addictive. Many other games have tried this in the past, and I usually bailed after trying it out for a day or two. Maybe it's the nature of hockey, but I'm finding this to be really interesting.

I love jumping out there for a shift & trying to make an impact of some sort. Something as a dumb as a couple good passes feels like I "contributed". I also feel like a dumbass when I go offsides or get a penalty. Last night, some dude from Calgary kept checking the hell of me, and it got really irritating. I finally lost it & beat the hell out of the guy. Viva Hockey!!!

JACK- those games were intense. I've played around 1500 NHL online games the last 3 years and the games vs u were probably the best.

That first game that goal I got off your goalies leg and then off your defensemen's head was unreal! LOL! Love playing rivalry games! 24/7!

I destroyed my NHL12 disc yesterday...literally crumbled it in my hands. The BF3 crew knows my gripes so I won't go into it. I simply had enough in online randoms. Sadly, I'll end up missing the game and pick it up again. Yes, i'm stupid. But I was too frustrated to not destroy the disc.
