I've just tried splashtop briefly on the TP, but it seems pretty close to performance on the iPad.

Most games should technically work, but there will be big time input lag preventing you from playing anything that requires active control. Turn based stuff should be okay.

Right. No "twitch" games for sure. But there should be a bunch of good PC games that should play well over Splashtop?
I just can't think of any right now besides Chessmaster :)

which control scheme are you using? This tablet is too heavy to use the accrometer.

My additional TPs have shipped! And just in time for Android. Btw, was in Japan all week for work and not once did I fire up my laptop - the TP supported me the entire time. A great little device for the price paid.

I finally received 2 32GB units I ordered from HP small business back in August today. I was thinking about maybe using one as a gift, and I've already used the 16gb unit a bit. Actually I'm still torn on what to do with the 3rd unit and if I want to keep the 16 or 32 for myself.

WebOS 3.04 update now available.

FYI, all preware patches, kernels etc would stop working.

Just installed Android on my Touchpad.

Impressed by how "stable" it is.

Netflix worked flawleslly as all of the games I tried (all Angry Birds, HR Derby, RoboDefense, some Zombie killing game).

Can't wait for more updates on it.

Installation was a piece of cake and it dual boots with WebOS.

Here's some pretty straightforward instructions for those who wanna try it.

I'm actually up and running with this, and it's pretty great. I'm sure it will crash sometimes but initially it seems very good. Unless I run into some issues I intend to use this instead of WebOS.

Loaded it up on my spare TP, but I think I will mostly use it for netflix and apps I can't get on webos. This is my first experience with android, and honestly I am quite underwhelmed with the interface. I much prefer webos.

For me it's not a matter of interface, but of apps.

Same here.

But as soon as they get Android running @ nearly 100% in terms of stabilty and performance, I would have no reason to use WebOS anymore.

I am running what I believe to be the latest port, Cyanogenmod 7.1 for Touchpad Alpha 2 from last month. Still waiting on a "stable" release, though it runs surprisingly well. I did have a brick scare last week though.

Also, google released the source code to Android 4.0 this week, and the cyanogenmod is already working on it, saying "check back in two months." Hopefully there will be a stable release of the touchpad port of 7.1 or 7.2 soon, and a version of 4.0 running on Touchpad in a few months when the cyanogenmod team completes their work for all devices.

Also running last month's beta. Don't think anything new has been released. I only use it for netflix, and my only issue is sometimes the video hangs and the audio still goes. After a minute or two the app freezes and android prompts with a "force close?" question
