There is no player fatigue.... at least that you can see in a menu. I do notice on back to back games my players do feel more sluggish. So there is SOMETHING in t he game i think.

Same for goalies, though if you play your starter too often I gind they suck too.

I could just be imagining it tho.

As for rosters, its 23 in the nhl and unlimited on the ahl.

Once they patched it in MLB 2K11, this was a HUGE feature that I loved. It would make so much more sense in a hockey game. At the very least goalies should have a fatigue meter.

But in the baseball game, I felt like La Russa having to mix and match my line-up to maximise my results. It was really well done.

Yeah, that would be nice!

Played Chicago in game 2 of the preseason and wow.. was it tough generating scoring opportunities. We lost 3-1 and were out shot 28-21.

Game is a blast though! I haven't even opened NBA 2k12 yet.

I'm going to wait on NBA 2K12. Not because I have an y doubt, but there is just no way I will play both NHL 12 (which I have) and the NBA 2K12 at the same time. I'm winding down MLB 2K11, which will get some more play as the playoffs continue. NCAA 12 has been way on the back burner, but i might break that out again.

But sometime in midseason, if they play, I will pick up the NBA game on sale, and probably love the hell out of it.

So, are you using Perron in your franchise play? I love that he's there, but it almost feels cheap to use him now. On the plus side, I score two second period goal with Oshie the other night. I hope he plays as well in real life. I just love the options the blues have for their top three lines.

Online continues to be really solid for me. I have yet to have a disconnection or a player quit on me. I've also been fortunate enough to play against people who play hockey rather than try some cheesy crap the whole game. I did play one guy who was behind by 4 goals late in the 3rd (he was playing player lock with his goalie for whatever reason) and said F it and skated his goalie down ice and challenged mine to a fight. Cracked me up.

I get NBA 2K almost every year around BF for 29.99, so I will definitely be waiting for that type of deal due to having so much to play right now. 2K12 looks tremendous.

Most definitely.. I need all the help I can get. :)

I am 1-2 in the preseason after losing to Detroit, 4-3. Had them 2-0 and then all hell broke loose. I never felt there was player/team separation in previous versions, but it's really apparent in this years game and I love it. I played backup Elliott in goal and he was strong until Detroit said, ok we need to start playing.

Shattenkirk was hitting players everywhere and for the first time, they highlighted him and showed his hits and talked about him, very cool.

I still wish I could scratch/dress players and then have the CPU do the lines for me, when I do that, it dresses players and scratches players I want to play.

I'm also seeing all kinds of goal variety, Stewart is a beast.. scored a goal with him in tight and a player basically on his back as he fought him off to get a nice shot off for the goal.

One last thing.. with NHL, I can run off a game in a decent amount of time too - with NCAA, I have to play in the evenings when I have an hour or so to spare, not with NHL.

Had a weird online TP glitch. My team was still passing the puck as we were awarded a penalty, and this goes on for at least 12 seconds until the other side touches the puck. Instead of starting on the PP, the game goes to a center ice faceoff where the opponent wins it and as they start their play, I realize that my team has no keeper because of the PP that was supposed to be awarded to us. The other guys shoot and it goes into the empty net. WTF? It was a high scoring game but thankfully it didn't end up costing us the game in the end.

Can someone give me tips on scoring on default PRO.

Seems like every year with this game I can't get goals until they have the 3rd tuner set out.

I am avg around 2 goals a game in my season mode.

I won 1-0 my last game via the shootout, so I wish I could help.

Move the puck.

I hate that it is that simple, but if you try to score on the rush constantly, the goalie catches on. You need to cycle behind the net to get the goalie and the defense moving, and then shots have a better chance of going in.

Also, shoot low. Goalies seem to have a tendency of reacting better to top shelf this year, and shooting mid to low makes it a tougher save and control for them. You get a lot more garbage goals this year than last.

thanks for that, i will try that.

As for HUT, I read you can DL other teams this year and play vs them. How do you do that in the HUT menu?? I can't find anything to dl HUT teams.

Lots of behind the net play. It took me about 10 games before I had a few 4 goal games. Also, waiting until a couple of your guys crowd the goalie then letting it rip works on occasion.

I noticed they'll reverse a goal if the puck is kicked or whatever, yet you can have a guy with both feet in the crease during a shot- no problem.

I'm 2-5-1 in BAGM on AS defaults, after a couple of good games - Philly just put a whoopin on me 4-0.

The game is fun to play, I try to get at least 1 game in a day.

Ok, now I'm getting pissed off.. have yet to score another goal in 3 straight games. I think I'm going to start BAGM over and move down to Pro. Either that or try "auto aim"

I don't expect to win every game but going 2-9-1 so far is not very fun (and losing 4-0, 3-0, 5-0, 7-1, etc)

Mizz - this happens every year w/ this game. Just wait till Dec/Jan when the last patch is out and then you'll probably get a decent game out of EA.

Try upping pass assist to 1 or 2 notches. I find it helps me make some nicer passes that lead to better chances. With no assist, a d to d pass was an advqentue to me.

I thinkit also allows the passee to get the puck in better shape and not need time to get shots off.

Try it out and let me know.

Will do.. however, the Blues in real life are 2-4-0 and I'm 2-8-1 not too far off. :)

My new thing in this game is to play goalie in BAP. I never did it before because I didn't want to watch the CPU or online idiots skate around, while I stand there passively, but it's been pretty fun.

I've pretty much had my fill of HUT mode, having won a few online "tournaments" and have enough cash to buy whoever I want on the market. Now it's not a matter of building my team, but just changing it for the sake of changing it.

Aside from some general, nagging frustrations, I'm enjoying playing goalie. I always like playing street hockey goalie, and I get the same feeling here. I've also improved quite a bit after giving up 9 in EASHL game (though most were 2-0 or 3-0 breaks). I still kinda suck at breakaways, but oh well.

I got my first SO online last night though, and I know I've figured something out when on chat one of my teammates says on chat that the "goalie is having an f-ing incredible game. let's get him a shutout because he deserves it."

If we have another Ice Dragons night I'd be happy to play goalie, and hopefully won't have another 9 goal debacle. :)

Yeah, it's easy to appreciate a good goalie showing in online games. I PM'd some random goalie on his boss goaltender performance where a couple of us buckled down to earn the guy a shutout after he played out of his mind in the second period. Fun stuff.

Definitely have to do more EASHL with you all.
