Friendly is still better. The fact that you can have multiple accounts signed in is a huge advantage. I normally do all my Facebook business through tweetdeck anyway so no big deal either way.

Bring on iOS 5!

24 hours...

*** BTW, itunes 10.5 is now available for download so if you're planning on installing iOS5 tomorow you might as well update iTunes today. It IS required to install iOS 5.

Seriously...if I have another pop up notification interrupting what I'm doing on the iPad I'm gonna throw the f'n thing. So annoying. That will be SOOOO nice.

Some of you guys go nuts with notifications. I wouldn't get anything done if I had Facebook notifications.

Excited about this week. iOS 5 is a needed upgrade. After screwing around with my sister's google phone... there's a lot on my wish list.

But Siri if it's all it's cracked up to be, will be essential for my company. There are times where I just needed to put a task into my phone driving or whatever. I don't use task apps because they aren't integrated well into the calendar. If Apple has unified all this, it will save a lot of time for me.

Plus I'm excited to use the new 8 MP camera. For a point and click Apple's camera has always been better than Droid phones. I take a lot of point and shoot photos.

Been running the iOS 5 Beta for a few months, and it's certainly an excellent update. I can't remember everything that's new at this point, the notifications, reminders (with geo-tagging), and twitter integration have been highlights - along with tabbed browsing on the iPad.

Apple like to do things around 9-10 Pacific. I would say around there. It's too bad they don't do it at midnight to ease the traffic.

They also started releasing a few apps ahead of iOS 5, like Find My Friends and Airport Utility.

Question about iPhone/itune accounts. Wife and I are getting 4s, can we use 1 itune account so we can share apps and such or is that not allowed/recommended?

You can. In the same way you can have your apple ID (and purchases) on multiple iDevices.

I was halfway done in 4 minutes before the web exploded with the news. Then it slowed to a crawl.

My update process has failed several times. Downloaded, but when I try to apply the update, it backs up the ipad, says extracting software, then says failed to restore ipad error 3200. :(

^^^ I had something similar happen when trying to update the HP TouchPad. It's probably a corrupted or incomplete download since so many are hitting their servers. I had to keep trying over and over before I successfully was able to download the update for the TouchPad.

Yeah, did a quick google and appears to be a common issue, possibly traffic related.

The new Safari browsing is sweet! No more checkerboard and it's fast! Very much enjoying the tab browsing as well.

The split keyboard will take some getting used to as I find it a bit small for my fingers.

The update is worth it alone for new enhanced Safari.

iPad 1 or iPad 2

Someone was uploading faster GL benchmarks too, presumably from a beta iOS5 device.

Got my iPhone updated. Nice. Almost done with the iPad :) Still haven't tinkered to much with iOS 5. Looks awesome from what I have seen.
