ATT in my area is terrible. Like you can't text inside of buildings.
So then isn't the choice obvious? Worst case, you try out Sprint for a few days and if it's worse, go back to At&t. They all have return policies with new service. No harm in trying.
Thought about that but it's also trying to guess what the iPhone 5 will have. If it's using the faster networks I'm going to be on the network that iPhone 5 would fully utilize. I don't know what ATT has in store for 4G or LTE type stuff.

Today Sprint released their pricing it it's the same data plans. So now just waiting to see if they will allow both data and voice.

Sprint has never advertised that...so don't bet on it. Same thing w/ Verizon. They are using the exact same hardware in all models of iPhone...so if one CDMA provider can't, the other won't be able to either (most likely...of course there could be some tech behind it based on the tower technology too).

AT&T has went live with a few markets of LTE...which is significantly faster than WIMAX overall...so if you're going to plan for the next two years, At&t would be better. But then again, if you don't get any bars, the speed is irrelevant.

We're in the exact same boat.
And there isn't anything wrong with that :). Hell, we are in the driver's seat!

Actually, by definition, owning an iPhone completely takes you OUT of the driver's seat. You are on your knees looking up at their corporate dong.

Damn...Jobs died. Allegedly. This has been rumored before, so who knows if it's "official".

Guess it's true since Apple released the statement:

That's quite sad. But what a LIFE the dude led. He packed more zest, discovery, creativity, imagination and accomplishment in 56 years than most people could do in 156 years.

I don't see Jobs as an Edison. Apple didn't invent computers. It didn't invent MP3 players. It didn't invent slate computing.

I see Jobs as more of a combination of Henry Ford and Walt Disney. He took these technologies, refined them to an incredibly simple, elegant level and brought them to the masses with a perfect combination of style, substance and magic. And Pixar's contribution to film is immeasurable. Pure pixie dust, revived the animated genre.

The dude was a giant. The entire world should mourn.

Seriously, you buy new Android phones and tablets every week.

Who's really on their knees looking up, taking it all in?

Anyways, RIP Stave Jobs.

Run Android apps on your iPad, but why would you want to?

Seems REALLY pointless. I can't think of anything (other than the core google apps like Talk and Mail) that is better on Android. Waste of resources if you ask me.

Now that I am sure I am not getting the 4s I am getting anxious for iOS5 on Wed. I'm looking forward to the new stuff. From what I've heard a lot of the new stuff has been adopted from Android's OS...which isn't a bad thing from what a few of you have said.

Sprint announced they're switching from WiMax to LTE, starting in 2012 and targeting completion by end of 2013.

Their partner Clear may also be going from WiMax to LTE.

FYI...Siri is only available on the 4s. It's their way to get people to buy a rehashed phone.

Yep, knew that. Plenty of other features in iOS 5.

But if you are in a two year cycle, the upgrades are welcome. For iPhone 4 users it doesn't make much sense to get the 4s. Probably it will be the same for those with the 4s to upgrade to the iPhone 5. Who knows what they will have in that.

Probably new form factor and LTE support. There are LTE baseband chips on smaller die on the roadmap for the first half of next year, which should results in better power consumption than existing LTE chips.

When they do change the design, it's got to be something that they can produce in volume. Obviously they had problems refining this design -- they couldn't produce enough at launch and they took a long time to get the white ones right.
