^^^^^ thanks - I'll give this a try.
BTW, I just heard that the "Zinio" app will be ready for WebOS this month!
That is great news, since magazines are so nice to read on tablets.

There have been more TP's being released here and there.....
heard there were some on Tiger Direct.com and also Radio Shack.
HP did say they would do one last release before the end of Oct.

Hey,F308GTB wrote: There is not a light on the HP keyboard.
Maybe you haven't noticed, but there is a little green led where the switch is.
I paired another HP TP keyboard yesterday and it indeed turns on when in pairing mode.
BTW, the keyboard is back in stock on Amazon so I called and asked them to go ahead and ship me a new one.
I bought the Microsoft Mobile keyboard 6000, which is pretty slim and very slick. Paired perfectly with the Touchpad.
As soon as I receive the HP TP Keyboard, I'll decide which one to keep.

And again, it looks amazing.
I'm sure it's the same version you get in the iPad or Android tablets, but of course, TP is what I got.
Re: OT: WebOS Tablet Thread
Is it more "sim" or "arcade"? I was going to buy NFS but it's 10 bucks!jLp vAkEr0 wrote:Looks great and plays perfectly.JackB1 wrote:Is it worth the high price tag?jLp vAkEr0 wrote:Bought my 1st Touchpad game last night.

Arcade all the way.
Re: OT: WebOS Tablet Thread
there is a new app that just came out called Splashtop and it's on sale right now for $4.99
It lets you connect to any of your home PC's with your Touchpad. I got it and it
works pretty good. Easy to connect (via Gmail or IP) and works well with the TP's
touch controls. Opens up a lot of possibilities for your tablet.

Hmmm, I might have to get that. I have the splashtop app for my iPad, and use it a bit. I'm assuming it will run just as well on the touchpad.JackB1 wrote:there is a new app that just came out called Splashtop and it's on sale right now for $4.99

Unfortunately won't do what I need - a good remote desktop app to connect to my work pc. Bummer.JackB1 wrote:there is a new app that just came out called Splashtop and it's on sale right now for $4.99

This may not be applicable to your situation, but I've used splashtop to get into my office networks via the remote desktops my office provides.F308GTB wrote:Unfortunately won't do what I need - a good remote desktop app to connect to my work pc. Splashtop app->home pc->remote desktop software. I thought it was kind preposterous but it worked for my needs.
Also don't know of your network security situation at your work, but all you need is to get the small client software installed on your work pc, assuming a firewall won't keep you out.

Re: OT: WebOS Tablet Thread
Remotely it's VPN through an RSA token, so I already have one strike against me. If at work, we get dynamic IPs, and from what I've read you need to go static. I'm looking for a good solution when on site and when I have to travel (I went the desktop route at work for extra horsepower for the engineering apps I run and currently use my heavy, personal laptop offsite).Naples39 wrote: This may not be applicable to your situation, but I've used splashtop to get into my office networks via the remote desktops my office provides.

For those that overclocked, what did you do?
I downloaded governator and uberkernel yesteday, and restarted, but haven't done anything with either since then. What else did you guys do or set?

I installed Uberkernel and Govnah.Naples39 wrote:For those that overclocked, what did you do?

After reboot I went into Govnah and chose OnDemanTd1512.
Done, overclocked to 1.5ghz.
Re: OT: WebOS Tablet Thread
Haha, govnah....I knew I was getting the name wrong. Anyway glad to hear there's no more steps to take other than changing a setting.jLp vAkEr0 wrote:I installed Uberkernel and Govnah.Naples39 wrote:For those that overclocked, what did you do?

And yes, those are the only steps to o/c it.
Re: OT: WebOS Tablet Thread
Yes, just do what Jlp said...choose the 1512 setting and you're done. No risk either, since the Touchpad's processor was designed to run at 1.5Ghz anywayNaples39 wrote:For those that overclocked, what did you do?

Re: OT: WebOS Tablet Thread
And it wasn't too laggy going the "3 step" route? Doesn't the TP have a VPN client built in? Wouldn't that be a better solution?Naples39 wrote:This may not be applicable to your situation, but I've used splashtop to get into my office networks via the remote desktops my office provides.F308GTB wrote:Unfortunately won't do what I need - a good remote desktop app to connect to my work pc. Tried Splashtop last night and it works pretty well. Was able to watch some video with it. A little stuttery on the video, but the audio was good. You do have toNaples39 wrote:Hmmm, I might have to get that. I have the splashtop app for my iPad, and use it a bit. turn down your video acceleration settings down some for it to work, but mine worked pretty well after I did that. It is pretty cool to access my desktop PC from my
Touchpad from anywhere in the house. I would assume you could actually play games on it, as long as they are "mouse button" driven and not too CPU intensive?
I tried the built in MS Pinball and Solitaire and they worked fine. Now I'm off to find some PC games to play this way and add to my Touchpad's "arsenal
if TW golf will work?
