BTW, there's a Preware patch that will enable you access to Hulu via the browser.

It's called Hulu fix.

This is not news Debbie Downer....they split into 2 teams last week and there was some bickering between the 2 dev. teams and some discussion about stolen code,
but the project is still continuing. If they can eventually do it...great. If not, I won't mind either since WebOS is such a pleasure to use. The only reason I
would change my TP's OS was if I had access to the Android Market's Apps. If not, there is zero reason to switch.

I think I ran into that. Open the browser and check settings for password related stuff.
Here ya go...

This did it for me, plus for some reason it is now loading pages even faster.

What's the best way to rip DVDs to MP4 to view on the TP? I've been downloading a few apps to try and haven't been happy with the conversion time - at best I seem to get 1:1 performance of video length:convert time. Is there a fast app out there?

Time for a faster computer. Handbrake is by far the best free ripping program. :D

I don't understand how deleting the cache makes the browser remember passwords?

I saw that last night. What exactly does Hulu do? Is it a pay service?

Also, there is a free app called Video Flood which is a nice "one stop shop"
for all free network TV and others. Highly recommended.

Seems the browser's cache is buggy and a lot of times you need to refresh a page a couple of times to get the latest content.

This affects passwords too, I had to re-login to DSP at least once a day on my TP.

After changing the cache settings it now works perfectly.

Got the Keyboard today from Amazon, seems like I got a dud...
It won't turn on with any set of batteries I use...

Is Amazon good with exchanges?

Sometimes I need to re-synch to get the thing working as it doesn't always autosynch/recognize. Flip the switch on the battery area (flip towards the outside), turn blue tooth on, drop down to the drop box to select keyboard and synch.

Tried that, tried everything, even tried another set of batteries. The KB just wont turn on.

I should be getting a blinking light where the switch is, right? No light here.

There is not a light on the HP keyboard.

I thought that Preware app deletes the cache? Wouldn't that delete passwords too?
What cache settings are you now using?

Jack I used the same settings the poster gave using the instructions he provided.

Smile Disable webOS's (flawed) Browser Cache
So it turns out webOS's browser cache is far too over aggressive, to the point that a web page will never show updates unless the refresh button is pressed. The only answer I've found? Totally disabling cache.

Sure that means pages will load slower, but I still think that's better than a quick initial cache load followed by a manual refresh after realising your reading 3 hour old news.

This will work with both the default browser and Advanced Browser.

1. Install Preware if you haven't already (google will help you with this)
2. Install Internalz Pro from Preware.
3. Open Internalz Pro -> app name in top left corner of the screen -> Preferences -> turn on 'Master Mode' -> app name again -> close
4. Open /etc/palm/browser-app.conf
5. Change the following:

MemCacheMinDeadBytes=0MB
MemCacheMaxDeadBytes=0MB
MemCacheTotalBytes=0MB
DiskCacheEnabled=false

6. Reboot your tablet (Luna restart isn't enough)
7. Done

Again, BEFORE this, I normally had to re-login to this an other forums at least once a day.

After this, gravy.

There's a patch that does this for you, but since it's pretty simple to edit the browser's config file I went ahead and did it manually.

Just try it, if you have any issues (none for me) you just go back and re-enter default values.
